I would take it to mean that he would find your insight and reaction to the possible submissives he is interviewing to be of help to him. And perhaps their answers and behavior may be of benefit to _you_.

I think that he wants your opinion of the subs that he's looking at. You don't coddle doms, they have to find the steel of thieir own soul through the forge of pain and humiliation and failure. If you hold his hand through this then you are selling him short of his true potential. Everyone wants help, a hand or a friend but it is only when you have to perform alone at a high level that you know who you truly are.

Based on the information we have, I would not jump to any conclusions as to what is meant, but would suggest finding out before you go along with it. You don't know what you could be getting yourself into and it might not be of the pleasant variety....remember, this lifestyle is supposed to be about consent, being led into an unknown situation by someone you describe as 'someone you know' not someone you are submissive or committed to. Call me cautious but there are a lot of predators and opportunists out there...it is smart to be prepared before the fact than crying or worse after it is too late. Must admit my first thought from the first posting was it was something related to sexual favours and I haven't seen reason to change that as yet.
