And the reality is...

That I have a fucking job!

Hurray for me!

Sorry - got a little excited again.

Anyway, you all were wondering what I was excited about last week - those that guessed I got a job were correct. It was a long dry spell; another six months and I would have been hitting the road.

No details about the job (to keep my personal details off the board) except that it is fair pay and it is in what I do.

I won't be on the board all that much as I will be working, and my spare time will now be limited.

Time to hit the sack - I've got a long day tomorrow.

Oh, and thanks to all those who kept my spirits up, and thanks for the congrats.

i've always wanted a fucking job, i think that would be so much fun.

congrats :)

I think I could find one for you seXie - if you don't mind low wages and being strapped down to my bed 8 hours a day. :p

Thanks

Congatulations!

Your posts have shown the meaning of this to you and Tho we do not (what is it we do here?) talk? I wish you the best.

I also am a lawnmower rider. It`s a tough job, but someone has to do it.

Thats great means that there is hope for the rest of us.

I am studying for the GMAT now so I can take it in may and hopefuly get into business school.

I also ran across this in my daily car reading today and thought you might find it intersting since you have shown and interest in the Elise.

http://www.sportcompactcarweb.com/features/0205scc_coblot/

It is a competition between a Mustang Cobra R and a Acura Integra Powered Elise.

You get the great looking very light and quick Elise with the bulletproof drivetrain of an Integra.

booooooooooo

don't get sucked into the corporate machine

Congratulations! I had *a feeling* this was the reason for your jubilation last week. I'm very happy to hear that you've found a job, even though it means we'll not see you around as much anymore.

Well I can't get into any other grad programs besides MBAs because my GPA blows.

Most MBA's don't require GPAs at all and I have plenty of work experince.

I am not getting sucked in just going to clip the event horizon and collect enough money along the way to retire at 35 and build cars or something.

Hope I can find one, considering I am graduating in 10 months :(

Kitty needs a job...maybe once you get your foot in the door, you can put in a good word for her.

That's a good boy!!

Would you like a scooby snack now?

That's such wonderful news, sweetie. I thought that might be what you were excited about. :)

Have fun and enjoy those paychecks and benefits.

Thanks everybody.

BTW, here is me at my new job.

Yeah, it's not PC, but it is a little self-deprecating humor :D

Congratulations! That's great! Good luck on the first day. Let us know how it goes. The first day at a new job is always full of surprises.

So, how was the first day of work?

And congratulations, again. :)

OOOOOOOO, Heretic, congratulations! Wahooo!

And, by the way - the "ding fries are done" guy cracks me up.

A) I worked at Burger King in high school, and B) a guy I was fucking last summer sent me that same site... and that song got stuck in my head, and he mocked me for it, it was soo great. I miss him.

Thanks for the trip down memory lane, and enjoy the life of the gainfully employed.

Congratulations! I'm sure it's a big relief and an exciting journey. I hope you love it!
