The dude is going to just keep massacring tens of thousands of people and shit is going to spill over and fuck up Lebanon, Turkey, Palestine, and Jordan even more than it already has. It's a messy choice but probably less messy than the alternatives. Let's let NATO lead with a heavy role for Turkey and incorporate a Jordanian, Egyptian, and Iraqi element. Let's not throw the rebels a bunch of heavy weapons at this time, just throw 250 Tomahawks onto their military assets.

REMEBER LIB? YEAH?

How will Russia react?

Who will pay for it?

Will the BODY BAGS be shown on TV?

Israel should not be involved in attacking Syria, no.

not what I meant

I meant you saying this

fuck up Lebanon, Turkey, Palestine, and Jordan even more than it already has.

where is Israel

there was a TERRORIST conference held, the US once again, caved to Turkey and DIDNT allow Israel there

You must work for State

I don't think the conflict is destabilizing Israel. At least I havent seen anything suggesting that.

An expert was just interviewed on NPR radio who said there are about 70 groups of rebels and none of them are Al Qaeda that we know of. Three of them are known Al Qaeda affiliates however and one of those three appears to be relatively powerful. It didn't sound like the rebels as a whole could be called 'mostly' Al Qaeda but it's definitely an issue.

One positive is that 70% of Syrians are Sunni ethnic Arabs so there's definitely a large homogenous group that could unite for stability. It's certainly nothing like the clusterfuckage or Afghanistan. There's no culture of democracy since the nation went from colonial rule to dictatorship but Syria is surrounded on all borders by Democracies and most people seem to desire it.
