Ok, the links to smilies are getting to me

Normally smilies do not iritate me. Some of them are cute and the others are ignorable. But when you actually have to click on a link and wait for a window to open to show you a tiny little 1/8 inch smiley, it's just fucking annoying.

The only thing I see are links. I have img codes turned off so I'm not assaulted by bandwidth eating smilies that serve no purpose to me. It also prevents me from seeing a lot of nasty porn and it's a lot easier to cruise through Ginny's threads. If I wanna see, I click the link. Otherwise, habitual smilie posters post this:

It's tres cool. I recommend cruising the boards with img off. Do it in the UserCP under options.

Nope, my images are on and I still see links to a lot of smilies. It's very annoying. I don't turn the images off because I know myself and I'm so curious by nature I'd open all the links anyway. lol

All I'm saying is think before you link. Is a teeny little smiley worth it?

Sorry, you must have images disabled. 90% of the time I preview my posts to make sure the images work. I'm sorry if it annoys you, perhaps you'd be better off enabling smilies. And you can assume that anything I post in link formation, is a smiley, so you can ignore it, ok? If I post a link that is not a smiley, I'll specify that. Does that work for you?
