What is it with editing posts?
It seems evil to me. If you do it, why?
What I mean is:
If you don't take the time to get it right before you post, isn't it cheating to go back and pretend for posterity that you did get it right?
If you say something you shouldn't, shouldn't you learn to not say it to begin with rather than go back and redact?
I mean, once you press post, some people may see it and whatever reaction happens. Changing it from that point forward for all subsequent viewers can lead to a weird imballance of perceptions in the forum. OK, weirder imballance.
Not that there's anything wrong with weird, and not that it would be distinguishable by not editing, but... what was the question again?
