Ive been to Craigslist, backpage, the dark net (bad idea) and i still dont understand. I more confused now that i was when i started this quest. If you can find my earlier posts you'll know what i mean.

So i posted an an on both craigslist and backpage:

Looking for married, single or otherwise attached female who would like to go out for some fun.

We can go out dancing, shopping, to get something to eat, whatever you would like. The only thing i will ask for is you to wear stockings while we are out.

My results: (If you see anything wrong with the ad let me know.)
A lot of men, cross-dresser, and man-woman.
Guess the "female" in my ad was not straight forward enough

I signed up on adult friend finder. Site was a joke. Nothing but spam and women who want to email 20 times to get to know me.

I did get one hookup for the site when she showed up she was not in stockings but she was hot.

So my point to this whole post ( thanks for reading this far btw)
Is my "fetish" so strange that its not common. I would think i am not alone in this world and can't figure out for the life of me why I did not get any reply's. I posted literately everywhere i could find.

Is my fetish a gay thing? I seemed to get a lot of reply's from men who were very interested in meeting me.

No, stockings isn't just a gay thing. I've seen tumblrs devoted to the stocking fetish. I believe the stocking fetish is common.

I think the number one reason why you haven't had any takers is because there is naturally more men online than women, even though you've posted everywhere. The ratio is even more disparate on Lit. As a male lit friend said, it's a "buyer's market" for women here. I wish you the best in luck with finding someone eventually. Have you tried https://fetlife.com/ ?
