Hello,

I was pointed in this direction to put my stories out. I've registered and submitted a story. This was a couple weeks ago and still my story has not been approved.

Did I do something wrong, did I miss a step or something? Would somebody help me out here?

Thanks a bunch,

Paul

Okay...quick question. When you look at your story control panel, do you click on 'pending'? If you do that, then you are basically submitting it anew each time, thus sending it to the bottom of the submission pile.

If that is not the problem, then there really is a big problem. It should only take a week for the story to post, or something like that. I would submit it again, then dispatch an email to admin and ask them what is going on. You might have to send more than one email, because it seems to be really hard to get an answer from somebody lately.

Also, review the guidelines, just to make sure there is nothing questionable in your story...I had one that contained some questionable material, and that took longer to get posted.

Good luck. :)

Sheath is right. A couple of weeks seems like a bit long if everything was in place when you submitted it.I know my submissions were approved in about 4 days. (finally submitted 2 more today so I hope I'll be approved again soon) I'd write the admins and see if anythings up.

Just out of curiosity, how does Literotica keep going? There must be a lot of bandwidth used here in the forms, and in the stories.

I have an ad blocker running, so maybe I'm missing a bunch of ads and this side is advertiser supported. But I don't think so...

So, who's (what's) generating the cash to keep us afloat?

And are all the moderators, story reviewers, powers that be, volunteers?

What do the do for day jobs? (Meaning, how can they find time to devote to this year after year?)

And I do appreciate everyone who does something to keep this site going!

Thank You!

it took about 7 days to get my first story approved, but only a few for the second........

just hang on in there!

Hey there everyone,

thanks for the feedback, and I finally got an answer. The story was rejected for paragraph structure. I guess I need to find an editor to tear it down to eatable bites.

Hopefully, I'll get the first story up soon.

Thanks again,

Paul

Yah - they don't take every submission - and thank you to the mods that take care of that - they are good with making sure things are in good working order.

For me it took two weeks for my story to be accepted and the second chapter was rejected - i've just not yet gone over it again to resubmit it... I got lost in the forums. :) :D

Stupid question - why would your second chapter not be accepted? Have a start of a story that have been considering submitting ...

I don't have any exact answers to this question, but I would count on a minimum of two weeks turn around on a submission of a story. This is due to the fact that Laurel reads every submission herself! She's just one person and some weeks are heavier than others.

As for clicking the "pending" and something happening or not- you might want to go to the Author's Hangout, Story Discussion, or Editor's Circle for that one, I just don't know!
