It is 0725 on New Years Eve morning here right now.
Yeah, yeah, I know..... we've apparently got entirely the wrong time zone
But let's move past that and get onto the real stuff....

What are you doing to celebrate the end of 2015/start of 2016?

I'm not doing much of anything this year. Not going anywhere, not having people over. Might head down and watch the fireworks if I'm sober (unlikely).
The end of this year hasn't been all that great - actually, the whole year has been a bit hard - so a quiet night of reflection seems in order.

Nothing overly exciting. Just round to a friends for the evening. New Years parties are often depressing I find.

I don't understand why australians & a few others are so matter-of fact about it.
It's the most exciting holliday of the year!

I will be playing games with friends and eating junk food. It should be grand. :D

Chinese food, wine, a couple of movies, only to fall asleep at 11:45 and miss the whole thing. It's tradition ;)

I agree. When young and pretty at about half eleven the density of men who think they wouldn't have a chance at any other time clamouring to be nearest at midnight is depressing and now the same men hurrying off at about eleven is similarly depressing. :D. Time is a terrible thing :)

Instead we make a habit of being together, in bed, usually spent by midnight, but snuggled up and watching a film or snuggly asleep. As we mean the year to go on,...in love and harmony together.

Best thing to prevent unwanted snogs at midnight is to chuck a tin of vegetable soup down your front and stagger out of the loo at 11.55.

I'll be at work...

;)

Maybe I can make my subordinates do a little dance...

make a little love,

get down tonight...

I shall be manfully trying to stay awake and relatively sober until 5AM when it's New Year on the Eastern side of the Great Satan.

Go to bed early and get a good start on the next day. NYE and the associated parties are about as interesting to me as colonoscopy.
