Anyone going to Origins?

Just wondering if any ladies here are either in Columbus or planning on travelling there for Origins. I'm flying in from California and will be staying an extra night amd would enjoy getting to know a new friend. I'm geeky, respectful, and clean up nicely. I moved my little one out of her house in Kent yesterday. She'll graduate this summer upon completing her internship. I was thinking that I'll miss my dinners and beers with her at Ray's Place. I really like that bar.

Ray's is just a bar. With a very nice beer list. Nothing out of the ordinary, except that it has a great 'feel' to it. It's comfortable like a pair of old jeans. I've never failed to strike up conversations with other folks at the bar there while waiting for friends or daughter to arrive.

That's the FoBaB I've gone the last four years, and after FoBab every other beer event seems boring. So I'd say don't go to it. It will ruin you for everything else

When they only had two sessions, the tickets would sell out in five minutes. Literally. Last year they went to three sessions and it was more like 15 or 20 minutes. It's almost as bad as Dark Lord Day, but not quite.

Great food, good beer and the staff is the best

Love going on a Saturday afternoon to throw down some cold ones and enjoy the surroundings. Friday/Sat nights get a lil crazy w/the college kids....not that I am against that, but my days of partying w/college kids is thankfully behind me...haha
