Ohio

LOL Tell me how you really feel  bwahahhaa

And still w/the lame burning river jokes? Really? That was like 40 years ago. If there is nothing to slam this city over other than some event over 40 yrs ago (that happened regularly in other cities as well at the time btw), then apparently we are not doing too fuckin bad!! :D And in case you haven't noticed, the Browns have sucked for at least a generation.....

I was just gauging your age. Actually its horrible school, open racial prejudice and segregation are enough to scare off anyone looking to move.

Gauging my age? I was like 3 when that happened. And yes, the city's school system blows and I am a product of it.....and somehow I haven't turned out too bad ;)

Cleveland will always be the butt of jokes..usu by ppl who have never been here. So it goes......

Happy Thursday!! :nana:

One of my parents is from there. Sadly I spent a lot of time in that hole. Then I was comendered there quite often in my mid 20's..... yeah....
I was in cleveland for a week a few years back...
I am so sorry...
LOL and I was in Detroit for a few hrs last year...YIKES!!

Yes it is. Cleveland still is horrid. not as Bad as Detroit but so close a second It should count.

Look what I started :(

It has sports teams. museums, theaters, metro parks, wineries, islands, kayaking, historical sites, zoos. You just need to get out more. Boredom in Ohio is that individuals fault. I never lack for things to do. Warm or cold.

Allow me to break this down:

Sports teams: I have zero interest in sports. Besides, the only team we have that's worth a damn is OSU.

Museums: we do have those, but once you've been there, not many reasons to go back.

Theaters: Those are nice, depending on the shows. But you'll find these anywhere.

Metro parks: Dime a dozen in other places.

Wineries: Don't drink

Islands: The scenery is nice, but if you are referring to Put-In-Bay there isn't much reason to go if you don't drink, seeing as how it consists of mostly wineries and bars.

Kayaking: never been. Might consider it.

Historical sites: not many come to mind, at least not compared to the likes of Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, New York, D.C. or even Texas.

Zoos: They are everywhere. Fun for the kids though.

Not hating on Ohio, but there is a clear lack of UNIQUE things about it. But if your family is here, no amount of attractions matter. :)

P.S. Cleveland is one of those cities that are fun to visit, but you don't want to live in.

You just sound like no fun. Life is what you make it.

Eh. Every time I tell someone I'm from Ohio, they bash on it--it's nothing new to me at least.

For the record, despite its lack of 'unique' attractions going for it, I've never been happier in my life than when I lived in Ohio.

Ohio just sucks at Advertising it's great attractions. There are so many things to do here.
Why does every one assume Ohio is nothing but fields? I live in a city and I only see fields when I drive to the beach or on long trips. Just because there is an Amish community does not mean we are all some sort of uncultured hicks! Gesh!

Im a hick... ive just learned to do it in a 2014 kind of way ;) although your city is bigger then mine so its easier for you not to be such a hick.

Ohio does have some great things. You wouldn't know it living near Youngstown but once you get out of there, there is a lot of really cool places and history. There are some pretty spots in this area too long as you can deal with the negativity

Isn't Cincy technically in Kentucky?? lol

My hotel this time around is in kentucky..does that count?? Its the closest and cheapest ;)

It is pretty close ;)

However I just saw pics for my hotel in cleveland. Holy fuck. I may never leave. Its soooo nice ;)
