Same here. One while in a car on the way home from Lake Erie. I think I was 10 or 11 at the time. My dumbass father thought it would be a good idea to try to outrun the storm. We ended up flung in a ditch. Both of us walked away from it unhurt other than some bruises.

The other came down Rt 30 while I was shopping at Meijer. Was completely oblivious to what was happening outside until the lights started flickering and someone said that there was a tornado outside and we should pile into the bathrooms. It was over quickly, thank god, and the damage was minimal.
 
First time: I was 5 at day care... I remember the sun was shining, HOT day. I turn around and about half a mile away was a tornado. I was the first to see it. I was like hey that's pretty cool! what is it? some woman grabs me and we're all huddled in the place. GLASS roof. tree limbs all over the place. It was scary but amazing.

Second time I was 12 or so. Home alone. my mom called me and told me to run to the basement. Missed my house by a few miles.

Tell me about it... Having to run over production in order to make up for the holiday puts extra stress on everyone which makes them do stupid things. Then I have to hear about said stupid things and resolve them :rolleyes:

Its my job to babysit about 1000 adults. Good help in manufacturing is hard to find. Plus, hiring and firing costs money. Better to keep cracking the whip and hope they get the hint...

That's not to say I won't fire people. I've had to fire an entire shift before at one plant.
