Ohio Lit Get Together (can we do it)

Ok, this seems like a good idea...

What about a Cocktail Party somewhere in Central Ohio where all of us from Ohio could get together and just be ourselves.

Perhaps at a hotel where we could either meet in the bar or if we get enough interested people, we could rent a party room of some sort.

I don't know if they would come, but we could invite the founders of Literotica.. I would love to meet these people.

Seems like there are alot of us in Ohio so why not get together and Party?

It strikes me that most of people here on Literotica dont really seem to want to get together in real life. I guess they use it as fantasy place and thats all it is for them.

If I lived anywhere in Ohio, I'd come to your get-together thing, but I dont, I'm in Montreal. But nobody would come if I started similar thing here in Montreal either, so dont feel badly.

Oh, and real life get-together party and message board party are VERY different, so you are NOT already doing what he wanted to do. You are hiding behind handles, while he wanted to SEE you people with his own eyes. You'd think in Y2K people would be more open, but it looks like people are getting more reserved. Oh, well, I'm in my early twenties, its Friday night, I'm going out to party, have fun people.

Just a reminder that not all are like that. I have chatted with many Lit members on the phone over the years and have met one man in person from here. (I've met many people from the net in general (AOL and Yahoo) as well.) I also have plans in the making for at least two other Lit members.

Saddly, it seems I was the *only* Nebraska resident at Lit (besides my EX friend) before I moved. Now that I'm in Illinois, there's NE people left and right!

for moving this, and we are planning a real life get together. Due to the weather and other conditions we are still in the planning stages and this is not something that one just throws together. Plus you need to get a general idea of how many people want to be there so that where ever this is held will know how many people to expect.

Exactly! Planning a get together for your whole state isn't an easy thing! I remember when "all" of Lit was talking about a get together in the Gen board. There was a lot of argument on who's state would be the lucky one. Then everyone over seas felt left out...

Well I'm glad I might be wrong.

Oh, and when I lived in GTA (New Greater Toronto Area megacity) there was never anybody around that I noticed near me. Now that I'm all the way in Montreal, it seems every second Canadian is in Ontario. Just luck I guess. Now I'm hoping all of a sudden theres new spur of Montrealers, but so far nothing.

As far as how many will show up, I was hoping for about 30 or so...If you search members and ask for anyone from Ohio, you get way more than 30...
