Well I just found out that my friend was raped a few weeks ago. She turned her stepfather in, and he admitted the whole bit. He went to jail for 2 fucking days. He even admitted he drugged her up and did it. And now, they are going to administer a test on him to see whether he will be allowed to be near her again. The test is going to be whether he is turned on by certain pictures or not. I can't fucking believe this shit. I live in a country where a fucking convicted rapist spends two days in jail and is allowed, nay, ENCOURAGED to do it again! This kind of fucking scum is allowed and encouraged to do it again, and yet the country spends millions of dollars convicting and imprisoning people who commit non violent crimes.

However, if the accused stepfather plead guilty, was remanded for 2 nights pending a sentencing bargain that involved standard pedo testing (which involves stimulous response) and treatment versus jail time (he might be the sole bread winner in the house), which would have to be with the natural mother's consent if the step father were non-custodial, it's possible it went down the way he says and the step dad gets treatment and a monitored conditional sentence.
