Ya know, I don't get how this site had to disect and re-disect everything. Is BDSM not about sex? Then why does it need its own board? If it's going to be like that, then why not have a foot fetish board, a leather board, a straight vanilla board, a gay board, a bisexual board, an orgasm board....you see where I'm going with this.

You can't find anything on this site any more. At least I can't. Your results may vary. It's over classified. Way over classified. There's so many boards that could be one board, it's confusing. I pity the newbie that wanders in here looking for info. Really, I do.

Well bud, I am the newbie that wandered in here not too long ago. You got a point. Why can't Story Discussion and Story Feedback be the same board? Or Online and Sexual Role playing since they end up from what I can see, being the same kind of thing anyway. Just put "nonsexual" after a post that isn't a sex story. And seperate forums for Poetry, Pics, and Stories? Why? Why not just a general submissions feedback forum? Yes, I got confused. Yes, there are too many boards and too many story categories. I'm reluctant to use the site, or try to, because of it.

I haven't had a chance to check out most of the other boards yet, but it seems like it would make sense to condense the examples mentioned (Story Feedback/Discussion, Roleplaying). The main reason being that people interested in one would most likely be interested in the other, so putting related topics in the same board would make it easier for such people to navigate.

However, I disagree that BDSM discussion should be interspersed with more "mainstream" discussions of sexuality. I know a number of vanilla people who would be uncomfortable or downright horrified if they accidentally wandered into a discussion of some of the stuff we talk about on here, without knowing what they were getting into. Having a separate board for the subject, clearly labelled, is more fair to people who would rather avoid it. Not to mention easier for the people who *are* interested to find it.

Just in case this is a legitimate gripe:

It would have to be the sheer number of posts that can be found on the Sexual Role Playing board versus the ORP. The SRP has dozens upon dozens of people playing there and several new threads crop up every day. If the ORP were melded into it then ORPers would have difficulty finding their threads. More importantly they would have a lot of difficulty finding new threads or keeping their threads from turning into an orgy.

We have the BDSM board separate from the General Board or How-To board simply because of the sheer number of posts. This board is new, only a few weeks old, and already it has several pages of threads to it. Sticking it in the How-To board would overwhelm that board and the GB would find it and the topics too uncomfortable to discuss. It was tried to go without this forum for well over a year and the site owners decided that this forum is better off as it's own place.

The reason that there is a Poetry board now is due to the fact that a lot of writers and poets were bitching. It really doesn't have anything to do with BDSM in the least. As for the Story Discussion Circle? I think it should be combined with the Story Feedback board, myself. It just doesn't get enough activity on its own.

Finding what you want is very easy. Just click on the forum category that interests you and then find a thread that interests you. It's not that hard and the diversification of forums had made it easier to weed out what you do want to see.
