Not, it seems, it the section "Volunteer Editors"...
Apologies if this is a subject which has been raised before.
I'm a newbie when it comes to writing erotica, so I thought I'd become an editor first, and get a bit of an insight into the process - sometimes seeing things in other people's work helps you recognise it in others. I had four folk contact me straight away, asking me to edit, which I was surprised at, as there are a great number of editors, and I don't have any track record.
However when I tried to find an editor for my own story, I realised why they might be contacting me - because getting hold of someone is actually pretty tricky. At a rough guess, looking at the number of pages, there are 1500 or more volunteer editors. Of the six I contacted, two did not get back to me, three said they were too busy but I should read their stories and comment and rate, and one who said they would look at it, but who wasn't able teo give a timescale and who I have not been able to contact since - which is a bit of a pain because I sent them my story.
I've found someone (via the forum lobby) who will have a look at it, but my question is - how do other folk find editors? Am I missing something obvious?
