This past October, NFO Infratest asked 740 Swedes how much they trusted a list of the following institutions:

Most confidence was in their Universities and high schools – 84 percent. :D

Next highest confidence was in IKEA – 66 percent.

Third highest was Volvo – (no figure given) ;)

Lower was confidence in their parliament – 47 percent. :)

Expressing confidence Swedish company Ericsson – 26 percent.

Confidence in their political parties – 18 percent. :(

The least confidence expressed was in the the EU Commission – 14 percent.

Reuters - Oddly Enough!

Quasi,

The EU comes out lowest because its the only one you can't actually see. You can only feel the idiotic effects of their action.

Remember straight bananas? What self respecting Lit. girl (or guy) would want a straight banana :p

What? The only thing so far that have directly afffected me since Sweden joined the EU almost a decade ago is that we now have smaller nanas than before, since we're supposed to be supporting the European fruit industry, and can't import the goody afican ones anymore without heavy tolling.

Anyway, are you calling for a sense of reason ore something likewise ridiculous? This is the country that, come Christmas develops a manic obsession over a duck in a sailor hat. So all bets are off.

Personally, I'm surprised at the high results. I don't have much faith in any of those.

But I must say, I have nothing against straight bananas, in fact, I think they are quite... nice.

I suppose Lit gay guys prefer them to be atleast bi, though.

So that's why the EU has such little a peel for Swedes

Good, i'm glad we solved that one and only five posts. :D

PS. it was about fifteen years ago, it was proposed that bananas could only be sold if they conformed to certain dimensions and had a length deviation of no more that 1 cm. I think it was a proposal put to the EU by D.I.C.K.S - Dildo's International Constructors Kerotoid Society.

PPS. For those that need to know
Keratoid adj Horn like in texture and appearance.

Dear Maths

I did choose it specially for you, but the you went and changed your AV back.

I prefer this one, its a comfort to see you both.

PS. Don't give up the writing, I enjoyed your story's immensely. I find the variable POV perspective satisfying in a story, each character seeing the same event from their perspective, forgive me I can't recall the name, but I voted 5.

Oh Those Finns!

Three drunken Finns whose attempt at robbing a bank was so disastrous they ended up discussing a loan with the branch manager have been sent to jail, a court official told AFP.

The three were all heavily drunk as well as unmasked and easily identifiable when they entered the bank and shouted: "This is a bank robbery." One of them was wielding a gun.

The bank manager was nevertheless able to convince the men, all in their 50s, to discuss taking out a loan instead, giving them a 10-euro (11 dollar) advance and telling them to come back in 10 minutes to sign the papers.

I'm writing a story set in Finland for the Winter Contest and was definitely thinking about including some of those references. Finns do rule.
An erotic story about screaming men in rubber ties, if that's not a plot bunny, I don't know what is...

/Ice - getting straaaange ideas...
