I'm currently sitting here with my wife watching on of the original John Wayne Movies. (Dawn Ryder made in 1935.)

Compared to what we watch now the acting and the action are terrible and yet the movie itself is great. I'm loving this.

I like watching some of those old classics -- although I do make it a personal rule to shy away from the Duke -- and the differences between acting, action, concepts of sexiness and humor always get to me.

For my money, the best classic is 'The Inspector General.' Danny Kaye was priceless. ;)

We did actually see him get laid. But it was obvious that nurse was staying the night and they weren't going to be playing Scrabble.

And when I saw it, the nurse was the first time I appreciated the charms of older women. :catroar:

Okay now I'm watching "Desert Trail". Another one from 1935. Slightly risque because they showd a womans legs above the knee.

I watched 'She wore a yellow ribbon' the other day....the husband found it quite slow and crap he said. But I loved it... I used to watch the old westerns with my dad on sundays so maybe its a bit of nostalgia for me.
