Is there ANYTHING to do there? Gonna be in the Missouri half. Leaving tomorrow. And my weed supply is frighteningly low. Only 2 ounces or so. Need to set up my closets once I get there.

Oh, the horror.

KC isn't so bad, really it isn't. Don't worry about your weed supply, plenty of places to find it there. :)

Well, an ounce will last me about 2 weeks. So I'm good for a month. Then there's a 3 or 4 month gap till my own plants hit.

Thanks for the info.

:)

Kansas City's getting the raw end of this deal......

More like Missouri is... J/K Rasta. Actually, I think I'm getting the raw end of the deal, that means Rasta is only 3 hours away by car.

Weed doesn't seem to be a problem over here on this side of the state.

I was raised, the first seven years of my life, in a medium sized town to the east of KC called Blue Springs. I lived in the badest assed neighborhoods that has ever existed. We had it all.

Cow feilds, woods, discretely hidden rock formations in the woods, More Cow feilds and some damn malls. Not bad.

I remember that KC has a Zoo that got jipped for a long time but is hopefully getting funding now. It has a big convention center that had a great Landscape and Garden show every year, and then there was WORLD OF FUN AMUESMENT PARK somewhere around there!

Oh, and fucking righteous Baseball team, thank you very much! ;)
A Royals game was always very fun!

Tres cool.

Depending on where you locate, you'll live about 3 hours from me and about two hours from Synthesist.

Doesn't that make you feel all mushy inside?

I am an hour south of KC. Depending on what you want, there is a lot to do. There are three riverboats, Worlds/Oceans of Fun, Nascar(Kansas side), Nelson Art Gallery, KC Chiefs football, and much more. Just an hour or so south, there is Truman Lake(fishing, boating etc.), Lake of the Ozarks, Branson (for a nice weekend trip..and there is more to do then watch a washed up county star). I just depends on what you want to do.

Hey....I've lived in KC for 30 years.....to bad I'm not there right now or I'd show you around.

Yes PLENTY of weed there (and any other kind of drug you want) .....tell me what you like to do, and I'll tell you where to go. I probably have some old connections there, but I don't know you very well so.....

If you like blues, check out the Grand Emporium on 39th and Main, they call that part of town "midtown", or go to Harlings just down the street on Main on a Saturday afternoon and check out "Mama Ray" that plays there....she happens to be a friend of mine.....If blues isn't your thing, there's Westport, also in Midtown....(begins at Main and Westport Road) all of this is MO, and you will find any kind of bar you want, rock, disco (yuck) sports bars......yada yada.

Then there's the Plaza with plenty of sights there, the Nelsons Art Gallery......lots of BBQ places.....if ya want to know more, PM me and I'll tell ya more.....

oh yea, Worlds of Fun, and Oceans of Fun, Chiefs football, Royals Baseball, both have there own auditoriums out in Independence. Ren Fest in the fall....gee, I'm sure there's a hell of a lot more I'm not thinking of....oh yea, the Zoo, they finally started getting some funds a couple of years ago and completely redid that.....well, can't think of much else right now

You bet.

The city is spread ALL over creation, so it takes forever to get anywhere...

We never asked how far, but how long it took to get somewhere...

People on the Missouri side go into town, people from Wyandotte County go "over" town [only access by bridge], and people from Johnson county only go into town to be photographed and own land in Miami county for when the wrong sorts of people begin moving in...

AVOID RAYTOWN! If you are not as dark as my heart, AVOID TROOST NORTH OF BANNISTER ROAD UNTIL YOU HIT KANSAS CITY NORTH...

Speaking of which, the airport is just on the other side of the Iowa border...

Avoid the world famous bar-b-que, Kansas City is one of the most obese cities in the nation in poll after poll...

AVOID Wyandotte County unless you LOVE stock cars, horse racing, slots, sluts, tatoos and 3.2 beer...

Which reminds me, STAY OUTTA RAYTOWN!

Locate to Johnson County as soon as you can. Trust me. It's in Kansas. The free state in the Great American Civil War between Kansas and Misery (Remember that pronunciation when they start debating Missouree, Missourah)...

In the fall, after the first frost, go North into Missouri and picke some of the best pot in North America. Beware that half of Southern Missouri and ALL of Northern Missouri Law Enforcement will also be there to entertain you. The locals will be behind locked closed doors, locked and loaded, so have a cell-phone for emergencies...

Hey, it's a great place if you enjoy a dozen cities crammed into three river valleys and some swampland...

PS The Royals SUCK! Go chiefs... It's a football town with a lower-tier baseball team. The Soccer team is fair for the American brand of the sport...

Oh yeah. PPS They've waged holy war against the titty bars, so you have to drive to Wichita to have some real fun...

PPPS STAY OUTTA RAYTOWN!

Oh yes, Kansas bloody Kansas.

Did you know that jayhawker is a bad word?

I'll keep it in mind if I feel like sparring with the slack jawed yokels.

Should I get a straw hat and a corncob bong?

No.

But if you come to Kansas you should bring suncreen, shorts, a bikini, a parka, raincoat, light jacket, sandals, athletic shoes, winter boots, galoshes, heavy socks, light socks, sunglasses, and aloe for: wind-chapped skin, hail-chapped skin, sunburns, and bug bites.

Watch out for prairie dog burrows.

You'll love the chubby farm girls. Probably the rest of them, too. Think of all that practice, muscle, and hand coordination they get from milking the cows. You'll blow in less than a minute. Bring Udder Cream and a box of trojans.

Oh yeah, I hope you're a Republican when you get here. If you vote otherwise, it counts just like a vote for Mondale counted back in the '80s.

Kansas ain't Florida!

Too bad you're not into chubby farm girls, I only live 20 minutes from KC. It's not a bad place, as long as you're not looking for any more culture than the zoo, the malls, and a demolition derby or two can provide. :)

It's illegal to live in johnson county unless you own three lincoln SUV's, two minivans and a small yappy dog. It's also 'requested' that you have 2.4 blond haired, blue eyed children who love to play soccer, shop at the Gap and huff aerosol cleaners.

Don't forget it's not MissourI on that side of the state, it's MissourAH. How I don't have a clue, but it's wrong anyway.

Jayhawkers is wrong, because they are in Missouri, home of the Mizzou Tigers.

No, it's wrong because any Kansan in their right mind is a Cats fan. :p

Who pronounces it Missourah?

The good 'ol boys down south and most Democrats...

Republicans say Missouree...

Kansans say Misery...

Again, I repeat, move out of KCMO!

Move to the Kansas side. Practice the Kansas mantra, ROCK CHALK JAYHAWK (like a Gregorian chant).

Cultural highlight - WWI monument. Looks like a huge penis in the sky...

Downtown closes at 6:30...

Used to be a wide open, fun-loving, corrupt little town...

Now, it's just corrupt...

Only within the last few years...

A decade ago, you'd be considered a damn fool!

Democrats? Down South? WTF? You obviously don't live in Missouri, because you haven't a clue WTF you're saying! Not just Democrats, mostly Republicans actually, and not all are down south.

Kansans say Misery, because they have nothing better to do with their time, except watch the fucking wheat blowing in the wind, from KC clear across to the Colorado border on a clear day.
