Okay. I just submitted a new story.

Look for it in about, what? A week?

The agony of waiting...it is so tempting to just post it here.

Anyway, when/if you read, don't be shy about offering feedback.

Love,

K

Hey Karamel, congrads!

We use to say the wait was 5 to 7 days, but I have read several places on the boards lately that the wait is going up to 2 weeks now. I figure summer/ spring vacations and such.

Post your link here when your story shows up, might get more chance of feedback that way

Oh, I know.

I hate submmitting. Feels like a slave.

So, I post my stories on the Author's Hangout where people with decent brains hang out. No under-age kids reading my stuff.

Thank you...

...for the replies (Omni and Chilledvodka).

Maybe I will check out the Author's Hangout

Thanks

Hi, Karamel, and welcome to Lit. CV and Omni are telling you the truth; AH is a great place to hang out.

I haven't had anything posted for a month so I don't know how long it takes now. A week seems like a long time but it might be that much or more. Math Girl can tell you more about that than anybody else. One thing to remember is, once you have submitted it, don't look at your story any more unless you just have to do more editing. If you do, it will take just that much longer to post.

Hi Karamel, and welcome! Do drop by the AH, we don't bite hard :D. My stories have only taken 7 days to post in the last month, BUT don't click on the pending button to view your story, as that put's you to the back of the queue, and you might be waiting 2 weeks!

Cheers, WT

Waiting for a story to post definitely sucks. It's worse than waiting for Christmas because at least then you have a definite date.

Drop by the AH and hang out awhile! Besides being terribly silly, we also manage to learn something from each other once in awhile.

Perhaps you just haven't submitted to the right woman?

I'll take your submission any time you want. Don't worry, I'll be gentle. :rose:  :p :D ;)

This is somewhat true but after a while it is routine. I have three stories submitted right now and I am waiting for them to post. I submitted them on the PM of May 16 and this is May 19 in the morning. Unless the story is unusual such as a contest entry, waiting is no big deal.

LOL! :D I think you got him there.

OK, I start out pretty cool with the waiting, but by the 4th-5th day I usually have ants in my pants! This hasn't changed in the 10 stories I've submitted! I'd like to say the waiting gets easier, but...

BL, you're abnormal! Lucky we are in a forum where normal is frowned upon!

You said it! My definition of "normal" gets broader every day......

btw - you're in my story for the Olympics. Know how to ride a horse?

Thanks for the kiss but I don't think I am really abnormal (except, of course, that writing smut and posting it here is pretty abnormal to the way of thinking of most people) My index has 80 entries on it so I am sufficiently used to waiting that is doesn't really bother me. for you, too.:rose:

Oohhh! Yay! I love horses, but I want a cool outfit - matching cowgirl boots and whips and the lot :D

And are we talking of the bare-back male variety, or real horses?

BL, 80??? for effort.

Is that legal?

That should be legal. It's not at all unusual for Olympians to enter more than one event.

Officially, I have 80 entries but that includes one six-part Novella. If that is counted as one item, and it IS only one story, I only have 75 stories and poems.:

 for you too, Alabama Slammer.
