Oh Que!

Why do people hate hostas? Personal taste?

I like the leaves a lot. We don't grow them because of slugs and snails, ( we are not organic, strictly, but.....we are very low chem, next to organic ) but they have great foliage.

I don't like big grasses. And while I love everything in them, I cannot get enthusiastic about the prairie gardens popular right now. I love the flowers, the grasses in them, but, ....after a bout of English rain, they look flat, and the colours often look less great in our light, and semi flattened.

Hostas attract deer where I live.... that might have something to do with it. I've gotten to love flowers, after so many years of yellowing tomato plants.

There are so many different hostas. The ones I dislike are the ones that take over. There is a varigated hosta that has pretty leaves, stupid looking flowers. They also take over everything. Anything they are planted near comes up varigated hosta choked out. In my line of work they are a total pita.

This morning, the small one wasn't hungry and said, "maybe later" to the breakfast offering.

Couple of hours go by. I offer again.

"I said, maybe later," she repeats.

"It IS later," I respond.

"No it isn't, it's right now, not later."

Okay. By the weekend of August 7th I should be able to take a Much Deserved trip down south. There's Lapham Peak and the brew pub. Unless, that is, you're planning on going to New Glarus Volkfest where there is yodeling and the throwing of flags.

I Wana do Lapham peak and the pub again!!!

I just priced those on Amazon. :D

Worth it?

Dunno. Don't have a clitoris. TBH, I haven't even bumped into one in a coupla weeks and that was a frenetic, groping affair outside, up against a handrail. I don't think a Hitachi would have been practical in that situation even if there was a plug nearby.

We have something similar. Yes, for me.
Thank you. I think I'll make a purchase this evening. ;)

Then I shall defer to Elle's judgment. :D
