Oh Que!

But at least it's Friday morning. My favorite. Hubs usually works from home, the kids are in school... :D

I have not yet imbibed!

Happy Friday gypsy!

Same to you! Will today be a fairly easy day at work?

We're taking the puppy for his first vet visit. He's too active for me to try to take him alone in the car while I drive.

It is a bit early. However, in the immortal words of Jimmy Buffett, it's 5 o'clock somewhere. Great advice, to my way of thinking.

Morning, Gypsy. :) I'm off every Friday! The day is looking good.

I should be done long before five....then again, it is Friday and our biggest vendor lives to load us up with new jobs on fridays!

I don't want to jinx myself but right now? Looks like an easy day.

Board games? What do you play?

I don't recommend "Hail, Caesar" for anyone looking for a movie to see this weekend.

We play mostly modern board games, things like 7 Wonders, Pandemic, Carcassonne, etc. Some of the guys are constantly buying new stuff, so a lot of the games only hit the table on game day once or twice, unless it's particularly popular with the group.

I have to admit I have never heard of any of those. I guess I am too old school: monopoly, parcheesi, scattergories. I tried one of the Catan versions but it just wasn't my thing, although my cousins love it.

I love games, but mostly we stick to canasta and rook.

It's not unusual for people not to recognize the games we play. I can tell you, for certain, that there are newer games you'd probably enjoy, because there are so very many of them. But, there's also nothing wrong with sticking to games you already love.

One of the games that seems almost universally popular with kids and adults is Qwirkle. I've played it with several family members over the last few years, and they always end up wanting it for themselves.

Awww...... what a sweet face.

Feel free to post ad many as you like here. Your puppy is freakin amazing!!! I love it!

Great doggy pics.

Wish I could show you pics of our 2 dogs.

Thank you guys :)
The vet visit went well. Although he started to cough last night and he was coughing this morning too. I started to give him elderberry with honey. Hopefully that will help. If not, we're going back Monday.

We haven't seen it yet but it's on hubs' list to go see. Now I wonder.
What didn't you like about it?

We like to play Carcassonne too. I never heard of 7 Wonders nor Pandemic though. I'll have to check out Qwirkle. Thank you for the recommendation. :)
We really like Exploding Kittens, and Catan as well as Taboo, Pictionary, and many card games.

All the best parts were in the trailer, and from the trailer, the movie is nothing what you would expect. You are basically going to work with Josh Brolin (head of a film studio) every day and watching him put out fires on various film productions. Watching four or five different movies being filmed eats up a lot of the time and is not that interesting, at least not to me. I went with two other people: one slept through half of it, the other seemed as confused as I was at the end.

I've not heard of Qwirkle either, but it looks similar to something I've played recently, just can't remember the name.

You'll have to tell us how Board Game Saturday goes for you tonight. :)
