I start the trek home tomorrow. I'm not pushing through the ten hour drive tomorrow, because I'm just not cut out for another one of those so soon. So, two days until home.

Yeah.. four hours in a car at a time are enough to make a little crazy. Have a good trip.

Cody has decided he likes the less mobile me. This is a dog that only sleeps at the foot of the bed. He doesn't like to cuddle. Since I got home, he follows me everywhere, even to the bathroom. When I came out from my bubble bath this evening he was laying outside the door. Now he decided he wants to sleep curled up next to me. Animals are truly amazing.

Cody is my best friend. I would fight zombies for him. Apparently he thinks he is my nurse and lots of cuddling is his prescription. He has always been a little clingy to me but right now I can't move without him checking on me! I love dogs so much.

I found my hole-in-the-wall restaurant of choice in the barrio. They had a special for six bucks 3 mini tostadas with rice and beans. I had the chicharron which is pork belly marinated in a very spicy rojo (red) sauce.

Apparently they don't get a lot of gringos in there because he warned me four times that it was very spicy.

I found my hole-in-the-wall restaurant of choice in the barrio. They had a special for six bucks 3 mini tostadas with rice and beans. I had the chicharron which is pork belly marinated in a very spicy rojo (red) sauce.

Apparently they don't get a lot of gringod in there because he warned me four times that it was very spicy.

Sounds yummy. I am currently playing the slots at a local casino. Feels good to be out of the house!

Great that you're out! I can even imagine where you are.... I think the casinos are to the east and north of Ashland. If you win big, are you taking us all out for dinner? (Include plane fare where applicable.)

I was trying to talk to someone on Skype, and it wouldn't hold the connection. It made me grumpy. Dinner and a soak helped.

Statistically, they are right to keep paying to lure you back because most people will play with their own money at some point. Years ago, we were broke down in Mesquite Nevada and got a ride to a casino for a cheap meal and a cheap room while we figured out how to get the bus fixed and or towed on the 4th of July. The (then) wife went in to the front desk to get the room. You had to go into the casino to do that, so children couldn't come. She comes out with the room paid for from the winnings of a nickel, that was not even her nickel.

An attendant had met her at the door and hander her a roll of nickels. I would have just pocketed the nickels. She dropped a nickel in the nickel slot nearest the door and it hit. We wondered if the machine was rigged to pay. Instead of offering $30 to come in, give the suckers $2 and let them "win" $30.

You are probably right, it probably was. I just cannot fathom why people would want to stick their own money into a machine that gives virtually nothing back. I prefer to go shopping or donate to charity.
