Well, jezzilee, I wish you were here this weekend. Its taken us two goes, not long at each go, but bad weather beat us yesterday, to dig out a wisteria. Heartbreaking work. Not bad roots at all, but grown in to a virginia creeper that covers a lot of house, and both wrapped round a down pipe that had snapped and popped out about half way down on Thursday. We had to release down pipe, make a very temporary botch repair. We are hoping wisteria might survive, and have put it further along the wall, but its taken considerable losses.. Our abandoned looking, messy front door also looks clearer and bare, like friendly people live here.

In Internet gardening your ankle is always working.. But I hope in reality it is less painful soon.
I love roses too, very much. But I do not like roses in isolation. My roses are in beds under planted with other things, and vying for space with things taller than them at times. For example, I also cut down some spent asters that had grown through two roses in very late summer /autumn to add a new flush of colour to that border, and now just along from them some snap dragons still do well, and behind them another rose, next to that some japenese anemones/windflowers gone over now too. Roses sing best in a mixed choir I think.. And I love the other voices too. I cannot choose a favourite I don't think.

For me, landscaping and gardening is about the machismo of moving wheelbarrows full of dirt, hither and yon. t has been unpractical to do much of it the past 7-8 years and I miss it.

Well, get over here.. We also have macho chain saws, flame throwers, digging and screwing eyes in masonry.
I could use some help moving a few plants around.![]()

Your bush need plucking?

Isn't it funny how every day words can be made to sound dirty? I love words!
With no words even!
Adagio.... (drawn out, spoken in a whisper during intimate encounters.)
Isn't pretty much ANYTHING spoke in Italian sexy?
adagio…. adagietto… allegretto! A d a g i o….. vivace! vivace! PRESTO!
This has been such a fun weekend. When it was time to end the night, he said he missed me already, even though I was still sitting next to him. I have such wonderful people in my life. I'm a lucky woman.
