Oh Que!

I will also be in Atlanta ( I think) for a weekend visiting very loved real life friends and mio maestro has to do a days work in D.C. So I will
Doubtless tag along for that trip too. Some other people are coming to see us in NYC.

I might, just maybe, live a few hours drive from D.C. :)

Spring can be a tricky time of year for me, but it's fun to think there might be an option. The train system between here and there isn't great, but I don't mind the drive there and back too much. I do it several times a year to see people in concert that don't come any closer. I'm making it twice in the next few weeks, actually. I like music a little bit. :D

No good deed goes unpunished. Double-stacking good deeds is suicidal.

A past client called me when someone else wisely blew her off. She was borrowing a phone, needed to get to Walmart to refill a phone card. On Black Friday. In and out, she says. I know better. I reluctantly agree. I cannot just drop her because she has no phone to call me with.

Half an hour plus. They can't help with her problem. Has to go to Best Buy. In the wealthiest part of Arizona. On Black Friday. Most people think of North Scottsdale when they think money but the Northwest part of the valley actually has more money They don't look like they have more money but they have plenty and all of them are at Best Buy today. I know because I've watched them coming and going for one hour now.

I'm pretty sure I saw a thousand people enter and 1000 people leave in that hour.

Right as I was typing this she finally came out. She's offered to take me to lunch as a thank you, which is nice, but not on my schedule for the day. so now we're in a sushi place. She wants the waitress to explain all the various options and I'm just saying order anything. There seems to be no way to make this agony end.

This may end up being the very person client that I actually like that makes it to my never ever pick up the phone when they call list.

I'm not sure but I think this has morphed into a date. All things considered, I wouldn't necessarily object to that, she's attractive and fun in a quirky, mildly insane sort of wsy, but I just have no time for this.

Is actually a very good restaurant I've heard of it before but hadn't eaten here.

She has excused herself to go next door to the Verizon store apparently the phone situation is still not resolved. Meanwhile this Sushi is quite good and a little sustenance is improving my mood rapidly.

The Vegas roll is good, as is the Pad Thai. Maybe I'll quit my day job and work on restaurant reviews. I'll have to work on my Pros I don't think is good is quite going to cut it.

Not that I'm never at a loss for conversation but this is proving to be the least awkward date ever. I'm eating and she's not here. Don't have to mind my manners or anything. It's late enough in the afternoon the place is deserted.

I probably should be more sanguine about the whole day. I anticipated today being a write-off. This way I spent very little time actually dealing with people and their holiday issues.

After our lovely lunch she tells me that Verizon set her up with a completely different phone so she now has to return the previous phone to Walmart so we're at a different Walmart it looks a little less crowded and I am hopeful that she will be back inside of an hour.

Another hour or so and I'd be home napping anyway.

I just left a note on blurt thread, I miss you so much!

Yes, this time I want to see jezzi and Dave that way and I hope to see a beloved bdsm board friend and that is perfect for seeing you, and that would be tearjerkingly wonderful!

Gypsy, potentially seeing you on a trip full of seeing people I love and care for is making me grin.

I'll try to not disappear for quite this long again. With everything going on, I just didn't have the time and energy to be here.

I'm not quite sure yet how the spring will look for me, but after working back to back on so many projects, I might take some time off. Maybe we can arrange it so that I go visit you somewhere along your trip?

We are planning a UK trip for this summer. If the prospect of meeting with all my family doesn't scare you off, I'm pretty sure we can add a detour. Right now I only have a few must visit places on the list and need to add more anyway. :)

Gypsy...u am so happy to see you!! Now put up one of those gorgeous avs and stick around for a bit!

Oh Que! Sounds like you had one heck of a day...as did I.

My boss called me at 10:30 last night on his way home from relatives. He wanted Mt to head out at 530 with him to pick up deals we could use for work. As we're are looking and comparing tools and such he informs me his wife wanted to sleep in and was sleeping when he got home so she has no idea he left to go shopping. Later as I am helping him pick out work boots he tells me how glad he is to me and my patience there instead of someone who would only get exasperated with him ten minutes into second guessing his choices and recheck ing to make sure he is getting what he wants as far as quality goes and a good deal. Cue the call from one pissed off wife because how dare he go black Friday shopping without her and break years of tradition....he told me later there was never a shopping tradition she usually went with her mom or friends.

Then I had to walk into the house with him and endure the scathing looks. None of this was my fault, but I guess I can see why she hates me.

I love that this thread has gone from virtual reality friendships to soon to be real life meet and greets!

That ass?

That ass?

Bwahahaha haha. Well when your husband hangs out with a chick half you're size and he talks about her a lot , and calls her his work wife, introduces her as that even, yeah. Maybe it's the ass?

:rose::kiss::kiss::kiss:

I don't know if it will be possible but I hope we can walk with Dave too, and is fermina going to join us ? :)

!

Count me in!

I'm not sure if I have a work husband or work child....I am starting to think they are one in the same. People have been calling him my work husband for quite a few months now....someone else just calls him Paul (not his real name).

So people we meet always naturally assume I'm his wife. We are looking at boots today and I'm asking for different sizes, lacing them, reading boxes for him..we also fight like an old married couple. It's stupid though. He is not my type at all and she has no reason to be jealous.

Oh, well, my work husband said on my FB page that my Kathleen Turner gone Simpsons sisters (smoker's cough) voice is still sexy. So........

You could tell her it could be like that. (Mine's not married though.) ;)

Tell her she needs to exchange sexual favors! *Crossing of the threads*

That's what passes me off the most. She is such a bitch to him. He chooses his words very carefully with her. She still gets mad lol...

Ps. Girrrrrrl You do have a sexy voice!

but when I whispered in her ear
I lost another (work) friend

Dangerous man, you are Mr Pete!

Some men have a thing for bitchy men. Some men claim to like psycho women. I don't know why.

And thanks. Right now it's all jacked up thanks to this monstrous cold. I feel like I will never sound (or sleep) right again.

I hope you get better Soon! I've been loading up on preventative! Still sneezing every morning.

And sleep? That's a good one. Someone I must have accidentally woke up followed me to the living room a little while after I got up and asked me if I knew it was 5 am. I told him yes, I slept in. I'm up every couple hours and consider myself lucky when I can actually fall asleep again!
