No happy pills yet because they did a block on it. I can't feel anything from my ankle down. I am supposed to start them in a few hours. I just got home, my boss picked me up from the hospital and there was a rekey and dewintz on our way lol

lol..this thread pops up like a flower in a desert after rain.

Welcome back Jezz! :kiss:

New? Started work, been at it for 3 weeks now. Terrific classes, all in the mornings; no afternoons. Tuesdays off. Got paid today, after nearly 3 months of no income for me.
New bookcase was installed mid week (beautiful job - only cost 1500 [about $300]. And if I had gone and organised it the cost would have been double, owing to the fact that foreigners are routinely charged more than local Chinese.
So I made sure I stayed home while my wife went and ordered it.

Weather is warming up slowly. Very nice to go strolling in the early evening after dinner, by the river.

Strolls by the river sound nice...and paychecks too!! It kind of sucks the Chinese take advantage like that, there should be laws.

Thanks Elizabeth! THe ankle is great, where I had surgery 10 days ago is healing nicely. I get the stitchess out on Monday YAY. It did not affect me working at all - even got two hours in after the surgery when my boss picked meup. It was great because I could not feel a thing! What's new in your world?

Wow! Your recovery is amazing! I can't believe you worked the day of your surgery. :eek:

Nothing new here, just more work and less time to do it in. :rolleyes:
 
OD, when are we going hiking??

Next month, when the posies are blooming and the birdies are singing, and the ice is hopefully off the trail.

We did play a fun, new one a couple of weeks ago called Dragon Racer. Fairly simple, but takes some thought, and it's pretty to look at. I had a come-from-behind victory. :)

There's a fairly big group I play with, and it seems someone always has something new, someone's always backing some Kickstarter or another. Of course, that means familiar favorites don't hit the table very often.


Glad to hear you're healing up nicely. Hopefully, all is well in other areas of your life, too. :)
 
Boss and the family are out of town....oh boy! relaxing quiet houae til EASTER. Nope. A raccoon seems to have made its annual pilgrimage into the eaves of the house and is driving my dog crazy. I am hoping my guest that Iam entertaining for the week has some hidden critter taming talents.

*sighs* is it Saturday evening yet????

We use the 'buyer beware' method and a little subterfuge.

Usually if I want something from a store, or a street vendor, I will go in, look at the items, choose one, then walk out. Later, my wife will go in and after haggling the price, get it for less than if I had bought it. Sometimes it can mean a substantial cost difference.

One day, however, we bought a leather jacket for me. I had to go in to try it on for fit and wasn't the saleswoman pissed off when she saw me? After the price had been bargained down.

The pup is a handful but so adorable I gladly put up with all the work :)

I'm glad the surgery went well and the ankle is healing nicely!! :)

LOL Ricky! I make it in every once in a while. The new tablets data seems to be stronger than my phones so living in the dead zone will be a bit more accomodating to my needs.
