I was kind of hoping that people would understand that a children category would be for Children stories and not stories about children.

I guess I picked my poison.

Eek!

My advice: Rename the category "For Children" and send all the other kind of children's stories back to the authors with a quick explanation. That ought to clear things up.

Maybe you could have a little explanatry text beside each category, Literotica style, explaining what it's supposed to contain?

Another question: What's the difference between Adult, Adult Erotica and just Erotica? I have some stuff that I was thinking of putting there, but I'm a little confused.

ps. Trying to tidy up a horror story for submission. Should be up there tonight.

Me too. Opaque as hell. Other people's categories always are.

You've done nothing that you can't clear up and put right. For starters like Liar says, get your catagory's sorted out. I suggest you drop the 'Erotica, and the adult and go with 'Adult Erotica.'

Second, make a note of who wants to become a member of your site and check daily on what has been posted by them. In fact I would go as far as to say drop the children catagory, as the two just don't mix.

And finally, praise my work whenever you can:D

Blacksnake, I have to ask... Why did you feel the need to have stories for children on the same site as hardcore erotica?

To be completely honest, if I was doing a search for stories suitable to read to a child, or for a child to read, and I came across stories on the same site of the type I write, I'd be rather wary, to say the least.

I did think this before, when I first went to your site and probably should've said something then.

But, think of this, a child might be searching online for stories to read and inadvertantly come across your site. That can't be good, can it? I know, you cannot be responsible for who visits your site - it is ultimately up to parents to police their kids' online activities, but, there is no obvious warning about adult content on your site.

I do think you are playing with fire, and you should protect your own back, if nothing else.

Good call by Lou.

You should at the very least have an entry portal with an "Enter"/"Leave" "Over 18"/"Under 18" kind of button and a legal disclamer.

If you are determined to have childrens stories on your site you could set up the "Under 18" for the childrens stories section.
