The only things people were getting wierd about in Lit.were Mistresses snuggles.

I miss seeing Ravenloft and Killermuffin bantering along about dice and sex...and lord knows what.

I miss the days that DarlingBri would berate many of us for our spelling,then turn around and make jokes about it.

I miss the days when Myst was still new here,Angel as well,It was very fun here then.

I miss seeing Neale and Islode post on the BB.

I miss Dilingers unique AV{I dont know why}

I miss seeing Pyper and Siren post back and forth.

I miss seeing the post that Todd put up argueing about evolution and UFOs.

Not that it's bad now here at Lit.It's just that I sort of miss these things.

It's allright now,I just miss some of the enthusiasm,and Morninggirl...believe it or not...Todd SOMETIMES actually discussed his ideas about UFOs,It is far better than the copy and paste bits that most of us associate Todd with.

It's funny how one peson's "nostalgia" is another person's "modern times". Everything you mentioned sounded to me like the new stuff. Ah, perspctive.

There are a few posters who've gone that I liked, though they seem to have been well replaced. (As grumpy as I am I do like you all, or I wouldn't be here.)

I suppose the thing I miss the most is just how involved I used to get here. There was a time when I was writing a lot of new stories, and I was commenting seriously on many different types of threads, and I was more a "play along" kind of guy. I may have even done a little flirting and snuggling, I can't remember.

But as Woody Allen once said, "No one can keep up that level of charm". So now I'm content to be Mr. Grumpypuss and post more lightly, and not write any more stories, etc.

I suppose we all do that -- our level of "participation" wanes over time.

It was fun as hell when I was more in the "midst".

I am in your position on another board. I am an established member there, and began posting on its first week it was introduced on the site. I was prolific and actively participated, seeing it as my online 'home away from home'. I was well on my way to 10,000 posts when something just fizzled.

The board was awash with new faces, the older posters were disappearing, and I don't know...I was just bored. We had covered every subject twice over and then some, and I began getting frustrated with the intelligence level and attention getting tactics of several newer members.

I left, but not before coming back to Lit and exploring the BB here. It had been up and running for over a year and a half but I had only glanced in occassionally and never registered to post.
Now I am among the group of 'young turks' filling the board. It's a strange position for me to be in, but I am enjoying my time here immensely.

Everything has its season, doesn't it.
