My goals for my work-weekends are usually "Try to finish a submission for Lit" and "Clean house" - in that order. It's only my first day off and I already submitted two poems (one audio) and a story I just finished to Literotica...

NOW I HAVE TO CLEAN THE HOUSE!

GOD HELP ME!

My plans for the day were to practise my place-kicking, do my Japanese lesson and write a lit story. First two went down, but the third is still a non-starter. Care to switch?

uhm...to practice place kicking do i have to go outside? leave the computer? go out in the rain?

Wrap up warm. Go outside to the nearest patch of dry grass and a long area. Place the rugby ball on the tee and face the direction you want the ball to go. Turn 45 degrees to the right (or left if you're left footed) to address the ball from this direction. Take three paces backwards and concentrate on a point a third of the way up the ball. Look up at the place you want the ball to go, then down at the ball again. Approach the ball at a steady pace in an arc. Swing your foot through the ball at the contact point with the inside of your big toe. Follow through, pointing your foot in the direction the ball needs to go. Watch ball go half the distance that you wanted it to, curse loudly at the shit contact you made with ball and chase after it. Repeat until knackered.

Now tell me how you write so bloody much :D.

Hey, I can answer those:

1. An elongated semielipsoidal not quite football shaped thingie that's pointy on the ends but not really.
2. A type of shirt.
3. The feeling that the world just fell out of your bottom

Chicklet: A rugby ball looks like a larger Yank football. They are usually white and textured. They are big enough for someone with a large hand to pick it up one handed. Bottom left of my avatar.

A tee is a small plastic cone with the top cut off. Think a cone with a flat top. In place kicking, you place the ball point downwards on it.

Knackered is English slang for tired. Usually used for the kind of tiredness after hard exercise when you really can't be bothered to lift any limb.

Place kicking is a skill and part of rugby (game played with a rugby ball). The aim is to place the ball on the tee and kick the ball between a pair of posts and over a crossbar.

God, I can't believe Yanks know so little about rugby. It's so much better than Yank football.

Correct, but mundane

Dear Earl,
Your answers are correct, but I thought mine were more ..... thought provoking.

I saw a bumper sticker: "Give blood - Play rugby"
