Please people! Think before you reply to a thread.

Do we really want "underage incest fantasys" (error or mispelling in the title be damned) and
other such delightful blasts from the past to be at the top of page one?

Well, Staarkers...aside from the title and the misspelling, I took it as a means to discuss the eighteen year old minimum age to post stories concerning consensual sex on Literotica and the internet in general.

Those who wish to focus on incest, or child molestation had a hay day with the thread in an attempt to draw the conversation away from a discussion of the facts, I repeat facts, that young people are sexually active at a much younger age than the accepted eighteen years that forms the bottom line for posting stories.

My comments, questions and curiosities are not an affront to this site in any way, it is what it is and we either accept the rules and guidelines or leave.

That still does not address the question of a Romeo and Juliette or Lolita type story being discussed and even written about.

I personally think there is a treasure trove of writing and stories to be fabricated about young love in all forms beginning perhaps as young as age twelve or thirteen that are being ignored or suffering the chilling effect imposed by internet wide censorship on such inquiries.

There is a poetry and story site that I have been a member of for several years in which many, many young writers post poems and stories about teenage love, depression, angst, cutting, goths, vampires, werewolves and sexual experimentation and dreams perhaps more than anything else they write about.

I think, perhaps, we old folks forget the passion and anxieties of youth and that first experiences in many things occurs at a much younger age than the accepted eighteen limit.

Many writers here write such stories anyway, but corrupt them to adhere to the age requirement, which is an intellectual dishonesty that I regret has to exist.

Again, this is not intended to be a challenge to Literotica in any way, merely, as I intended several months ago, to open an exchange of ideas and discussion about sexually active young people under the age of eighteen....

I doubt I will much participate in such a thread, if it does develop, I have said before most of what I wanted to say but perhaps others might care to explore the subject.

regards...

Amicus...

My dear, argumentative Amicus: I'm sure the original topic was well and truly covered eight years ago when the thread began. It's only purpose now is to potentially stir up strife for the owners of this site, as you well know.

It is times like this, when ancient and potentially dangerous threads from many years ago are mysteriously bumped by absolute beginners to this site, that I wish this board had a moderator, who could dispatch said threads back to their quiet graves.

You may be entirely right, but it is rather just speculation on your part is it not?

And your call for a 'moderator' to censor topics is beneath contempt as far as I am concerned and I hope you will reconsider the implications.

Done with this...

I don't think starrkers is calling for a censorship of any topics. The resurrection of an eight year old thread is uneccessary, especially considering that many of the original posters are no longer around.

If someone is interested in the topic discussed in the old thread, they should start a new thread.

That thread starts with 5 posts from 2000-- and then goes on for 550 posts, from very recently. It's not an old thread, statistically speaking.

Despite the hysteria of some Romance reading bloggers who can't read past the first words in a very long thread (I freely admit that I was guilty of the same, in that I misread that first post myself)-- the age laws refer to pornography. NOT conversation.

"Beneath contempt" coming from amicus... Kinda like being wildly gummed by a toothless Pekinese, don't you think?

I think the driving test should be something like the way you gain your pilot's licence, when the instructor thinks you have enough experience then you can drive on your own.
