Oh, damn. THIS won't fit into my suitcase?

I suggest having a great time in Chicago.

Packing is always subjective and quirkily personal. I shall stay, with the hubby, at a safe distance.

I'm packing, packing, packing. Getting ready for Chicago.

(I do have to pack this evening because my flight leaves in the morning - I'm getting into town a day early.)

Anyway, I'm shoving everything into my American Tourister so my only carryon will be the laptop bag. But now I'm having some difficulty with suitcase room issues.

It's a woman thing, all right gentlemen?

I've already had three different male Chicago atendees inform me they weren't even planning on checking a bag - hell, it was only three days!

Three days? Three DAYS???

I need a separate suitcase just for my shoes.

Suggestions?

(And hubby's no help. In fact, he's remaining at a safe distance.)
Sarahh, it can be done. Honest.

The wife-unit is currently spending five days and four nights each week out of town trying to get one of her company's facilities squared away. She travels with one checked bag, her computer/briefcase and a rather capacious purse. The latter two items stay with her. She must dress "professionally" at all times.

Courage.

I do the same thing re shoes.

Guys just don't get it. You must have the shoes to match each possible outfit you're bringing, because if you don't, that'll be the perfect outfit to wear one time, and you won't have the damn shoes you need.

It's a woman thing, they don't understand. ;)

Just plan to be unclothed most of the time and you can fill your suitcase with toys and lube. :D

Just remember to pack the kisses you're supposed to be giving the impster for her to hold until I see her April 20th....

I may require photographic proof that they were delivered...

OK, OK.

Can I take a purse AND a laptop bag?

I thought I was only allowed one carryon.
Purses are an exception. One carry-on AND a purse.

Thanks for helping out, Cant. Getting Sarahh packed may require most of the AH to pitch in and help. :)

Once we get her suitcase closed, I got one of those 3 inch strap things with a ratcheting handle....says it's good for 5000 lbs...it just may take the strain... :D

Maybe you should just FedEx everything.

They may have to put an extra truck or two on the route... :D
Good point. I don't think the FedEx folks would want to risk one of their cargo jets. Of course, they'll have to take a route that would let 'em dodge all the highway scales. Maybe a barge?

I can pack three days worth of clothes in my backpack.

I never do, but I could if I wanted to. :D

I hope you're talking about my suitcase and not my butt, drkside.

:cathappy:

(The suitcase has a handle and wheels. I'll pull it behind a pickup if necessary.)

Oh you know I'm talking about you suitcase...handle and wheels....does that translate into Class IV trailer hitch and tandem wheels... :D

You do know you can check more than one bag?!?!

You just can't take more than two carry-on items.

Nodding...yes...barge....Challenger Drilling has a huge barge, it was used for the Challenger 9 drilling rig...at one time the largest oil rig in the world...I wonder if they could let us borrow it for a week or so....
