What steady flow of Canadians?

Let me see, by the by, if I understand your logic here:
People come to the U.S. therefore there must be nothing wrong with it and everything right with it.
Just remembered something. People emigrated in massive amounts from Afghanistan during first the Soviet occupation and then the Taliban fuckup. Where to? Pakistan and eastern China. Big pillars of freedom and prosperity? Nah, but far better than what those ppl had, and within reach.

You'll find, I believe, that most people who leave their countries and homes are more often running away from something than towards something.

Good point. As Rob says, where people run to doesn't tell us as much about the appeal of their destination as it does about what they're running from.

This isn't, after all, like heading off to a vacation spot.

I think a part of the problem is that kids don't walk or bike to school any more. Some of this is laziness and some is fear of sexual predators. That fear is not paranoia because the predators really are out there.

There is also less physical labor involved in employment. People sit behind a computer now at work, and move things by pushing a button, rather than picking them up; and carrying them. This has been the case for a long time but it is even more now than it used to be.

Ya know, if America such a an evil fucked up cesspool of a country, why the fuck do we have so goddamn many people lined up to get in? And why are they sneaking in by the hundreds every day?

For the same reason we love junk food. It's bad for you, but it's damned tasty.

It was bought by Wendy's 5 or 6 years ago and last year, since Wendy's was in the whole sold its shares which were quickly bought up by Canadian interests.
