Maybe we can fit the rest of the family in as well. Last time there were 300 performers and many of them had more than one role.

I felt sorry for THE horse. He was in almost every scene from King Arthur to WWII, changing his costume every few minutes.

I'm totally shoshed. Been drinking beer all day with friends I haven't seen all year or more dropping by. A wall-eyed chemist, a piano-playing buddhist, my friend Pete who's the smartest guy I know and would be the greatest writer in the world if he'd only do it. We sat cracking walnuts and hazel nuts, eating cheese and salami and drinking beer and laughing, the kids staring wide-eyed at the crazy adults.

Christmas has been here about 5 and a half hours, but I tell you, it didn't seem like it at all until I began reading through the last several pages of thread here.

It just hasn't been a bright and joyous time for me, dunno why. The stepkids are at their father's family this year. My own is scattered as well...brother and family just moved to Ohio several months ago, one sister and husband are at the in-laws...the other is in Hawaii where she is expecting her first child within the week...

Oh, and a total stranger (I wasn't able to meet them at the interview even), lodged a CPS complaint against me this past Wednesday...<sigh>

But, reading and picturing all of y'all having such wonderful holidays has lightened me up considerably...I feel like going to the window and seeing if I can catch someone passing by for the whole "What day is it?" scene from A Christmas Carol hehehe

Hope everyone is having a fine holiday...whichever one you celebrate...and look forward to a great year chatting and joking and flirting and writing with all of you...(and speaking too, now and then, must get to that this morning)

Unlike Tates, I can be buggered not to start another holiday thread to communicate my well-wishings.

It's officially Christmas over here and is likely the time everyone is opening up gifts where Tates is. Thus, I'd like to send out my joy to you. For Christmas whether celebrated secularly, religiously, or not at all is all about love and peace. The love of family putting aside distance and differences to come together, the love that comes from giving what other's want, and the love that just fucking is. And peace, where politics go to die for one blooming day, where arguments and bickering fall to naught, where things just are and we can be okay with that.

So to all of you out there experiencing that moment of Christmas away from your comps and those who will be shortly, I send you out my official holiday message of love and peace.
