I suppose it had to happen sometime; proof that high-heeled shoes make a woman feel better.
According to this report, the shoes also change the stride.

Of course, we all known about it for years, but this is reckoned to be proof.
I wish I'd been on the research team.

I wonder how much of whose money they spent finding out what most men already knew. :D

I've always laughed when women hear about foot fetishes and say "That's weird or gross"

Please you wear these uncomfortable, but sexy shoes, get pedis paint your nails, wear toe rings, wear ankle bracelets and stockings and...

Goddamn foot teases! You're all foot teases!

*waggle waggle* Take a look at this bunion, pal, you won't be getting any of it anytime soon.

Go ahead and weep with frustration, your tears are balm to my soul.

What's next? A study aimed at proving sex is pleasurable? Oh, thank god for the illuminating light of Science.

Oh, you're a cruel woman Stella! Next thing I know you'll be sending me pics of your ingrown toe nails!

Um, they've always made me feel like I was going to break an ankle. I can't count the number of times I *did* twist my ankle thanks to high heels and ended up with my foot wrapped up in a sexy ace bandage.

No thanks. I'll stick to flats.

That's a nice website, handley-- all kinds of gee-wiz science articles :)

High Heels don't have to be stupidly high to look good. A couple of inches is enough to improve the posture (worked for my Ex, anyway).
Have you considered what used to be called "Court" shoes?.
An elevated heel but with a lot of foot on the deck.

It's quite fascinating at times, Stella.

Dude, I've never worn high-high heels (terrifying thought! Like being on stilts). The sprained ankles I got were from relatively low heels. The best I can manage is a boot with a good solid heel because such boots usually brace ankle and leg as I wobble my way up and down stairs and such.

Okay this may be a bit of an embarrassing post, but what do I care?

High heels-very high like stilettos- take some skill and getting used to. Through years of self defense I have taken dance classes that helped in prove balance and also a little gymnastics back in the day.

I can easily walk across a balance beam and have far better than average balance and coordination.

I was bragging about it one day and my sister says, "oh, yeah try walking around in a pair of stilettos.

So I somehow shoved my feet in a pair of hers (she's 5'9" so does not have a small foot) and couldn't stay on my feet more than a few steps and the strain on the ankles was very noticeable walking in them is an art form (and one I appreciate in all aspects now)

Remember that old quote about Ginger doing everything that Fred did except backwards and in high heels. Thanks for acknowledging what we ladies make look so easy. :rose:

Given the number of photos featuring a small girl in Mummy's high heels, it takes years of practice.

Not a heel-wearer either, but that's no reason not to pumice your feet to exfoliate them, keep them soft with lotion and paint your toenails bright red or silver glitter, may not attract as much attention on the street, but you still feel sexier.

Also, women have a lower center of gravity than men. It helps when walking in a pair of high heels.:D
