Question about how picky or fussy readers can be.

There's two types of hot older women that rule the porn world and they do have a distinction.

Milf. Stands for Mother I'd love to fuck. Obviously a "milf" is a hot mom. Websites like Naughty America's "My Friend's Hot mom" is considered milf scenarios.

Cougar. A cougar would be the age of a milf, but in general are seen as single women(many times the fantasy is they are professional) who have a fetish for young guys. Generally cougars are predators hunting for cubs.

I have a series I am going to start here next month that will have the word milf in the title, but will be a series of stand alones, not recurring characters. I have a few installments pretty close to ready, but a couple of the women don't have kids so really are not Milfs.

Does anything think I'll get any flak on this? For me its hard to say because I am detail oriented enough to say "well technically she's a cougar" but I wouldn't care enough to comment or vote low over it.

I understand and agree with your distinction. Being a cougar is a description of what she wants; being a MILF is a description of how she is perceived by others. Although I will add that a woman can be both at the same time.

In general, readers (and writers) on this site have a hard time understanding what a cuckold is, let alone the difference between a MILF and a cougar. Hell, most of them don't know the difference between there, their, and they're.

So, in summation, I doubt that many will notice or that you will get a lot of flack. Just write good stories.

Has this always been in your sig? Or did I notice it for the first time today? As my eyes went across that line, I actually heard Disturbed in my head. (Honestly, I usually notice the WWJD for a Klondike Bar? That tickles my funny bone every time.)

To the topic at hand- It is my experience that someone will nitpick everything. The someone might change, but the nitpicking will always be there. (But that's true of everything in life.)

All I can really tell you is that with my bit of experience with the Mature crowd, they've always been quite a pleasant bunch. The readership is strong there, and they are eager and grateful for the stories people post there.

With that said, I'm pretty sure that if it's a series titled Milf and you toss in some cougars, I don't see that crowd being too picky about it. Maybe as a tag or description line you could make it evident there's gonna be some cougars. Not saying of course that you won't get one or two picky readers, but they'll like it. I think you should be good.

The real question would be technical. Outside of who bitches when they feel like it, which is not within your realm of control, people are usually capable of realizing what common sense will let be known.

The question is whether or not the women who would be cougars are the MILF or MILFs represented in the title. Remember too that when the title is viewed, it would decide which crowd it can draw. A MILF audience will notice, most likely, whether their fetish is being honored.

Also, a MILF has no age group. A nineteen-year-old mother can be a MILF but not a cougar. This is key when reviewing your statement about cougars being the "age of a MILF." We're talking about mature women, late-thirties or older, pursuing younger guys, more notably, less mature younger guys.

Good point on the mature crowd I have 2 stories there both of which were on the romantic side and well received.

It was gaining steam, and fairly common, but it didn't have the stigma it has now that the porno industry has overdone it. As to whether American Pie was the PIs introduction, or vice-versa I can't say.

I don't think you will catch a lot of flak over this. The readers in Mature (myself included) have seen the terms being used so interchangeably of late that most wont care.

Besides, I've seen some of your stories comment pages. I'm sure you have a 'flak' jacket given all the crap slung your way.

Bit of advice (from someone who hasn't been here as long as yourself, take it for what it's worth). When writing in the Mature section let the age show. Don't be temped to do the "She's forty but could pass for twenty eight" thing. There is a lot of that there and it's to me it almost makes the story be in the wrong category.

You have two readers there to please. An older and a younger crowd. The older readers know what a person that age (their age) should be like and the younger readers are people that are attracted to a generation older than their own.

When a writer describes the older character as looking so much younger than they are it kind of takes some of the mature aspect away.

My opinion worth what it's worth.
