I see the floating hair and I think, water. I see the very breath being sucked from her soul. Did you notice those little tiny circles right up there by the light? They could be taken for air bubbles... but that cannot be now can it? The light bulb tells me that there is no water. The blood on her shirt says that she has been grievously injured, whether it is a physical or metaphoric pain it does not matter. Her soul is being sucked from her body and she is in extreme angst.

That seems pretty thoughtful! :)

It could still be a lightbulb under water... maybe she has been wounded (grievously), and it is her breath that is leaving her -- I guess the general feeling of this is metaphor to me. She is dying in several ways concurrently. Pain on pain.
