Odd One Out

This thread is like the yin to the yang of the Connection thread I run with LM.

In this one, all of the pictures are connected.... except one.

I don't want to know the connection.... I thought it up! :p

I need the pictures identified for 1 point each, and the odd one out and why (It has to be my reason.... even if you think of another one). If either part is wrong, you get nothing and it stays open.

I hope that's clear.

I plan to start very soon. I suspect some won't see this as they have me on ignore. To them I say, no loss. It it's too hard for you, so be it.

The first picture and the general rules will follow.

I hope people have fun.

PLEASE read The Rules.

0. If someone correctly identifies a picture that is the Odd One Out, but does not spot that it's the odd one out, they get one point. The person who gets the picture AND the odd one out (and why) gets 2 points..... even if the picture has been correctly identified.

1. The winner is the first to 20 points. At that time the top 3 will go into the Hall of Fame as gold, silver and bronze medal winners in the first post of the thread. Scores are then reset to zero and we carry on. This is so that people are not put off from joining late.

2. You may only answer ONE THING from each set of odd one out clues (a clue OR the odd one out)….. But the first one to arrive gets the choice. Once you've given an answer, you must wait until the next picture set. PLEASE do not answer more than one question per set. PLEASE do not quote the clue in your answer. It confuses people and slows the page down. PLEASE don't give hints with regard to any other clues or the odd one out with your answer.

3. Once everything has been answered another set will be posted and the clock re-sets.

4. You can only answer ONCE. So be careful, particularly on the odd one out... if you are WRONG..... that is your go used up. You cannot answer again. For example... if someone answered incorrectly, they would be frozen out until the next set of clues. This is to give people offline at the time a chance. The same applies if you answer correctly and just get beaten to the answer.

5. If someone breaks rule #4, I will deduct a point from the person who broke it, unless they are a newbie or have a good reason.

6. Also... no editing of posts ... even for typos... as I don't know what has been edited. An edited post will be void. I'm not too worried about spellings as long as the meaning in your post is clear, but if you've made a typo you think needs to be corrected, please say so in a SEPARATE POST.

7. Could you PLEASE letter your answer, so there is no ambiguity over which one you are answering. Thank you.

8. Should there happen to be more than one odd one out between the pics, the only answer I'll accept is the odd one out I have identified. If you have a moan or gripe, PLEASE do it by PM and not in the thread. It spoils it for everyone. But... once we have discussed said moan/gripe, my decision is FINAL. Please accept that.

9. Have FUN, and please don't take it so seriously. But please put some bloody effort in to it!!! It's not THAT hard!

1.
Please either select and identify ONE of the cities below for 1 point, OR guess the Odd One Out, and why for 2 points.

I'll give this a whirl.
E. is Sydney, Australia. It is the odd one out because the rest are capital cities?

I'm happy to see this one come to fruition DB. I love you.

So how many threads does that make now? 50? :p

B is out because there has never been a Summer Olympics there.

Wrong I'm afraid. :(
Though the reason is valid (my wife said that.....), It's not the one I meant when I did it.

Also.. even if it was, you haven't done what I asked.... You need to name both the city AND the reason to get anything.

Soz Tim :(

A. London, England

Correct :)

Another one???

Yippee!! :)

C. Paris

Correct :)

F. Rome, Italy

Correct :)

I'll give this a whirl.
