I agree with the "fuck with your head" comment. I think there are people who love to make others feel insecure just because it makes them feel more powerful. I could see a woman with domme tendencies wanting to put someone down as a way of feeling their power. The guy being put down either has to fight back and stake his territory or resign himself as being the sub in his relationship. If that's what he wants, and some guys do, than so be it. Just understand that it's where your wife/partner is putting you.

But in general if you’re having an argument with someone and you’re trying to hurt them you attack their weakest point . Of course, limited information. But I agree with most. If this comes out in an argument, most likely it's because she wants to zing you where she thinks it will hurt. Whether it's because she knows performance is your vulnerability or just a jab at men's insecurity with performance in general, you will need to figure that out. Yes, I have...from two different girlfriends and once from my wife. The whole ordeal was a prelude to their wanting to cheat on me--, which they did. Only one of the three decided to make use of the argument to make the change, a more permanent
one.
The one who decided to make the change a more permanent one wound up marrying the hillbilly guy she cheated on me with, then divorced him twice and married him again, before divorcing him a third time and he finally died. When I heard he died, was the last time I got drunk. He finally got away from her, she finally got her due and I had the FINAL LAUGH!!!
