Thinks are OK up here in the Pacific NW (besides the fact my server blocks me from Lit...changing ISP's later this week)--a late Indian Summer--very pleasant, although the rain starts Tuesday! LOL To answer your question, yes--the weather has been clear and can easily see St Helens from my house...I am about 60 miles South of it and well out of danger. I wish she would just blow and get it over with!

I hope Oman is takin' you out for a special dinner on the 9th! (Hint hint! LOL) Take care...cya later
