Occupations and attractiveness

Are there certain occupations that turn you on or off?

I tend to go for high-end blue collar men. I love a self-made man. I have been with a lot of men in uniform. Also business executives and lawyers seem to dig me and we have a lot to talk about and have the same kind of sense of humor. It's almost always a good click.

On the not so cool list...
Doctors
Engineers
IT Guys

Of course there could be an exception...

No. Those kinds of generalizations make no sense to me. It's who they are, not how they make their living that determines a person's attractiveness. I've consulted for many companies and have met very cool execs and total aholes, mailroom workers who are great people and those who are hating life, attorneys who are down-to-earth and others who are beyond arrogant. It all depends...
From your description, it looks like you are into guys in a position of power.
I'm a self-made musician and I/T Consultant. Go ahead and put me in a box :D

You just proved the rule. I said there are exceptions but based on your response it seems like you took it personally.

I'm not overly fond of accountants, generally. I've found the ones I know to be dry, unfriendly, and unempathetic.

Well to be honest, I don't think your opinion counts as an actual rule. :D

For me, I think women who are well read, are attractive. Be it a single area or many, but I like an intelligent conversation. Flirting is great, but it only covers so much. So I guess I don't have a career preference.

haha, so where do physical therapists come down on your NOT so cool list?

Mu hub is an engineer and looks great in a suit, but he also loves working on motorcycles and doing all kinds of building work stuff....so I get the benefit of seeing him looking all rugged and workman like quite often. Best of both worlds!

Oh no, not personally at all. As I and another poster mentioned above, there IS no rule. It's the person, not the occupation and there are all kinds of people in every occupation.

I disagree. We all get to make our own rules. Maybe there isn't a rule for you but there is for me.

I should have added that I get turned off by people with like 17,000+ posts who lose their shit on a recreational board for sexual topics. lol. I also despise the unemployeed and the insane :)

"English-speaking countries, a blue-collar worker is a working class person who performs manual labour. Blue-collar work may involve skilled or unskilled manufacturing, mining, sanitation, custodian work, oil field, construction, mechanical maintenance, warehousing, firefighting, technical installation and many other types of physical work. Often something is physically being built or maintained."

Almost every profession you listed is a white collar worker. What kind of high end blue collar worker are you referring to?

Professions in and of themselves are not a great way to determine a man's worth (I am sticking with your shallow judgement) it's more important to figure out how much his bank account is worth. Professions can change after all. Look at Julia Roberts, she moved from a low class slut in pretty woman to a high class slut with Richard Gere. Quite a huge jump.

Nice job listing high paying white collar workers as turn off's...now no one will think you are a gold digger. *wink*. Once you figure out the difference between white and blue collar, you should post again!

Men in uniform almost never make more than doctors or engineers. Ask any cop, firefighter or UPS man. I'm a pretty big fan of the police and supporting the troops if you know what I mean.

I'm not sure why this thread is offending people... especially women, but it's kind of funny.

still waiting you to rank me in your list of hotness.
It is the only thing that keeps me going.
I will perish if you do not respond............

I was actually going to say that I used to have a crush on my bosses son who was a PT. But your neediness is making me lean towards a hard pass. JK. :)

The guy working behind the counter at Circle K, beats out the business owner?

To each their own :D

I love to hear people's stories of owning and building a business. That's the whole self-made thing. I like people who take risks, are in charge.
