Everyone needs a hobby. Or at least the idiots at our favorite state sponsored TV channel.

Hillary Clinton has played no active role in our politics since she lost the 2016 presidential election. She has watched from the sidelines as Donald Trump writes one of the most scandal-plagued chapters of the American presidency.

But on Fox News, the character “Hillary Clinton” still plays a crucial part in the story.

I call her a character because the value Fox News finds in Clinton is largely a narrative one. Fox News has devoted itself to painting Trump as a protagonist, which can be hard given the scandals, the incompetence, and the cruelty. But with the perfectly crafted villain, anyone can be made a hero.

And that villain is, still, Hillary Clinton.

Gotta spoon feed it out so it can be lapped up.

I don't watch all that much TV. What do you enjoy most about the Hillary stuff on Fox? Why did you feel compelled to mention it?

I'm sort of pleased that Hillary still scares the shit out of these people. :D

My own theory about Hillary springs from Drudge, which I visit almost daily. The recent news there is that my own favorite political punching bag will run again in 2020, and I really don't believe any thinking Republican is frightened by the prospect. She couldn't draw flies to rallies when she was the favorite in 2016.

My theory is that she is acting like she is going to run again so the Clinton Crime Family Foundation can start operating again and taking cash for future favors. Remember the $100 million-plus they raked in on the uranium deal?

This is a joke, right?

Your fellow RIGHTIST jerks never fail to go a day without mentioning her or Obama.

She is right, you all are obsessed.

Irony is nowhere near strong enough for this post.

From the person who can't go two posts without mentioning, Trump, 'rightists' and 'rightmen'

On a forum that is flooded every day with threads about Trump this and Trump that...

He owns you people lock stock and barrel.

Trump is president and sits in the most powerful office in the world.

HRC is... not.

I fail to see the irony.

Unless you believe that Trump holds no sway or has no control over anything of import....?

How would you define her current level of activity in regards to national or international politics?

SHE seems to think she is still relevant and involved. She is RAISING MONEY so she can stay relevant and involved.

The DNC, understandably, wishes she would just shut up and go away.

Republicans on the other hand are thrilled that she can't shut up and stay out of the limelight...

... and on the sidelines....

...which she isn't. . . by any stretch of the imagination.

So then her raising money continuing to work for causes she believes in is deemed as selfish and self serving by you? Interesting.

Further her operating in the background as such is given the same weight as being in the thick of things. Again, interesting.

I find it highly amusing that so many conservative men think she should sit down and shut up for the rest of her days simply because she did not win the election. That someone that has spent their entire life being politically active in some fashion or another should just hang it up.

Very very interesting.

I'm feeling very Holmesian apparently. However I don't think you are quite Watson.

Oh so "continuing to work on causes she believes in" while whining incessantly about her being robbed of her rightfull crown is being "Quietly on the sidelines."

Got it.

Hillary Clinton drawn into 2018 campaign with comments about Trump voters

Everyone needs a hobby. Or at least the idiots at our favorite state sponsored TV channel.

Gotta spoon feed it out so it can be lapped up.

At a conference in Mumbai, India, earlier this month, Clinton spoke candidly about her loss to Trump and made some controversial comments about his supporters, saying they were motivated by racial and gender intolerance.

Clinton summed up Trump's argument, as she saw it. "You know, you didn't like black people getting rights. You don't like women getting jobs. You don't want to see that Indian-American succeeding more than you are," Clinton said. "Whatever your problem is, I'm gonna solve it."

Clinton apologized for her remarks in a lengthy Facebook post on Saturday, in which she said, "I understand how some of what I said upset people and can be misinterpreted. I meant no disrespect to any individual or group."

But that's not stopping Republicans from running with her remarks. Clinton's comments were quickly seized upon by Republicans, eager to have one of their favorite foils back in the spotlight ahead of the midterms.

Interesting coloration of events. Your perception is really quite... telling.

I'm sorry she is not a meek and quiet woman you rightists males are used to in life.

I'm sorry she just doesn't go away and just sit in the forest.

I mean, who does she think she is?

Good God. you are off today, Que.

You’ve got it ass backwards.

She’s not in the limelight. Fox News is shining a spotlight into her corner.

Unless you are accusing her of of being a Soros-like stealthy mastermind, in which case I’m not interested in discussing magical thinking.

On a thread about NFL football ratings.

Off Topic:

They're not picking on transsexuals so much as rather pointing out the hypocrisy of some right wing men insulting the LGBT community yet jerking off gay or transgender porn on the low.

Literally walking into every thread to say the same thing over and over.

That smells like obsession to me.

My own theory about Hillary springs from Drudge, which I visit almost daily.

*Goes to Judgemental Central Command*

*Locates lever on Opinionometer labeled OldJourno, disengages lock switch*

*Lowers lever, listens to clicks until the gauge sunsets through orange to red*

*Reengages lock switch, returns to reading Chloe’s new enovel.*

You’d be much better off watching Fox News.

I never would have guessed.

That's the great thing about Drudge. Many of the uninformed believe that "Drudge" generates copy when in fact the site merely pulls it in from any number of sources, some of them revered by leftists. You can get all kinds of perspectives at Drudge.
You never would have guessed.

In the Limelight is not something that is figurative she's literally in the Limelight she has actual professional Lighting on her while she continues to give remarks in public about her loss. This is her doing it; this is her interjecting herself into the political process and into the political narrative.

The reason that her sheeple don't seem to know this is because her remarks are so unbelievably embarrassing that they aren't making it to your preferred news outlets.

No and he wouldn't. You can always tell a complete political illiterate because they think that drudge is some sort of right-wing site. If they don't read drudge they don't have any idea what's going on. All of their Heroes on the left read drudge every single day.

Actual political operatives on the left appreciate the fact that drudge does aggregate some right-wing sources in there because they want to know what the opposition is up to thinking reading and writing.
