ObamaCare

My insurance went up $2 per pay period, $4 a month.

This, of course, ruins my plans for an early retirement

One of my good friends from high school, a hardcore glibertarian with an uninsurable condition (replaced aortic valve) has been counting the days until October 1st when exchanges get funded again (he was waitlisted this year...seems exchanges are quite popular, even with conservatives).

The usual suspects will be along shortly to explain why this is proof that Obamacare is failing.

I've had health care through one or another union for the last decade. I do not pay anything into it, beyond my fairly low dues. $200 deductible, and I pay extra for my wife and kids. Dental, drugs and vision are all included. Unions are OK by me.

Because I have good healthcare, I do/would not mind paying extra in taxes for those who do not. Having this coverage doesn't make me special, it makes me lucky. I don't mind paying a bit so other kids can have what mine lucked into.

So...Obamacare spends trillions of tax dollars so everyone can have healthcare insurance and there will still be 26 million people without.

As far as Obamacare goes, I just happen to be in a group that has been given a waiver from joining.

It doesn't spend trillions, it saves billions. Holy shit.

if we really wanted to punish Syria .... we should make them go on obama care

obama the incompetent cuckold

facts are, if you work then you will be paying more for insurance. also, what your employer contributes is now taxable income.

obama - the biggest piece of shit EVER ... and the obama a cuckold

What specifically have you been given a waiver from joining?

Hint: The answer is not "Obamacare".

Sure. I don't have to enroll in any of the death panels, nor do I have to report whether I have insurance or not to the IRS.

In fact I don't have to have insurance until I need it...I mean they can't turn me down, so I go to the hospital, call my insurance agent, get a policy and get what I need fixed and then drop it. All without penalty...er I mean tax.

No matter how often you tell that lie, no one believes it anymore. There are trillions going to be spent if it's not defunded.

So how long did it take you to read the 20,000 pages of horseshit on paper that you know so much or are you just swallowing the party line again.

Got any facts to back up your conjecture?

Didn't think so.

Do you...been waiting for...what...three years now.

The projected cost of implementing Obamacare was $1 trillion. That is $1 trillion dollars more than the country spent on healthcare before Obamacare was signed into law. Prior to Obamacare, the project uninsured was approx. 30 million people. The project uninsured after Obamacare takes effect, 26 million people. So it's going to cost $1 trillion to insure 4 million people.

Now prove I'm lying dickwad.

Gladly.

There were 48.6 million people uninsured prior to the adoption of Obamacare. Here is a LINK to back my claim.

Your claim of 30 million uninsured prior to Obamacare is simply not supported by facts, which is why you couldn't link to anything to support your claim.
