In an interview with the New Republic, President Barack Obama is asked whether he’s “ever fired a gun.”

“Yes,” Obama says, “in fact, up at Camp David, we go snipe hunting all the time. Bush 43 and his pals took me out one night to go snipe hunting before I took office. Now I go regularly. Never shot one though. Those snipes sure are evasive, I guess."

The interesting thing was that immediately after President Obama made public his skeet shooting, the manly men (and manly women) at NRO and elsewhere immediately claimed the above photo was a hastily put together photo-op.

I would not put it against him to have staged that photo. Either that or I highly doubt he has done near as much skeet shooting as he claims. His grip on that firearm is completely wrong, he is not dressed for or have any of the basic accessories on that anyone shooting skeet would have, and he is aiming at a point where it looks like he might hit the trap puller before any target. At the very least I would say that he is by no means a regular at it.

Haha not at all, I could honestly care less either way. My personal opinion? He probably sincerely has shot skeet, but few and far times between. The entire ordeal is clearly posturing to attempt and make him come off in a better light to firearm owners. It would be best if he stopped trying on that front, that ship sailed a long time ago.

I'm not sure why President Obama should even try. He can't run for a third term, and he knows the bitter clingers are hardwired to hate him.

Am I the only man jack on planet Earth to notice what is wrong with this picture?


1) He is not on a skeet range.
2) He is not aiming UP at a clay pigeon
3) The gun is producing no recoil
4) Modern smokeless powder produces no smoke.
5) This double barreled shotgun only has one choke installed, indicating that it wasn’t used regularly.
6) The smoke is only exiting from the right side ports. It should be seen leaving the ports on the right AND left side of the upper barrel. This pretty much proves that the smoke was just Photoshopped in. In reality, no smoke
is created by modern smokeless power, which has been in general use since 1900.

Can’t these guys do anything right?
