Obama: I am absolutely committed to fiscal responsibility

Next time you see the Liar in Chief making a speech look at the people behind him. Mouth breathing, ignorant morons who have no idea what he's saying but love the way he says it.

"We must give the stimulists time to work and not head back to more Bush politics".

You guys have two problems in your thinking (at least).

One, you say that Obama needs to do something about the economy but not increase the deficit while he's doing it. So tax cuts are out because they increase the deficit. And stimulus spending is out because it increases the deficit too. So instead of Republicans footing their own ideas about how to help America, they instead try to manufacture a catch-22 in order to make the President look bad.

Secondly, you ought to look at how the dems are actually finding ways to pay for what they're doing. Health Care legislation isn't being run on borrowed Chinese money. The $50 infrastructure project Obama wants? It's paid for without tax hikes OR borrowing. Now compare that to 6+ years of Republican rule where the false "party of fiscal responsibility" financed every blessed thing they did with Chinese loans, tacking on large finance charges that inflated the cost of everything.

You shouldn't doubt that when the Repubs regain control, we'll have the same old GOP borrow-and-spend economic policy again.

What we want Obama to do, Celebrex, is get the hell out of the way and let the private sector do its thing.

But he and you holier-than-thou liberals think private business is evil, so you have to lay in the bed you made, bedbugs and urine stains and all.

How exactly did they pay for the stimulus, now well over $800B?

When it comes to borrow and spend, the Democrats know no equal. You could look it up. And all the cherry picked examples of paygo for relatively minor budget authorizations ain't gonna change that.

Bullshit. You want Obama to fix the economy by doing things to it. You'll hold him accountable in a second if he stands there and watches it wallow.

The stimulus was financed. Including the 1/3 of it that was tax cuts.

How did the Republicans pay for the Bush tax cuts? Being the party of fiscal responsiblity, I'm certain they had a plan laid out to make it fiscally solvent, right? I mean, they wouldn't just borrow Chinese money to pay for it and then have America get it's ass kicked with finance charges to the communist Chinese government, would they?

Name one thing we wanted Obama to "do" to the economy.

I'll wait.

Hardly. It would show much more strength of character for him to lay off the straw grasping at this point, but, like the Energizer bunny, he keeps trying to "make things happen."

Enough already.

The 2010 elections will fix that problem, and, ironically enough, help position Obama for 2012.

Tell me again what the budget deficit was in 2007? When the Bush tax cuts were in effect. Growth and increased tax revenues from that growth are a viable way to pay for something.

Y'all should try it.

Spare us the whining over borrowing and Chinese financing on Bush's watch, when every year of the Obama presidency has added deficits that exceed the combined total of the first six years of the Bush presidency.
