I checked out a couple of songs on the 'Broken English' album but it was a bit more pop sounding than what I usually listen to. While on the page I saw some of her other music in the side bar & saw that she'd collaborated with Nick Cave & PJ Harvey... THAT was more my speed I love Nick Cave & PJ Harvey so was really happy to find those songs. Haven't had a chance to really listen to any of them or anything from the Broken English album... figured I'd at least give it a chance, some of my favorite music I hated the first time I heard it. Thank you for mentioning Marianne Faithfull earlier, I haven't listened to her in years & probably never would have checked her out again if you hadn't said something.

I started listening to PJ Harvey in the early 90s, not sure why I never stumbled upon Nick Cave until recently. I downloaded several albums by him a while back, Murder Ballads being one, and kind of got stuck on Let Love In, No More Shall We Part & The Assassination of Jesse James (OMG, I *love* Warren Ellis!) then got sidetracked with PJ Harvey live at Eurockeennes. Lately I've been listening to Glass Animals & 90s stuff. (NIN, Ministry, Primus, White Zombie, Nirvana, Pantera, so on)

I'd love a mix tape, just NO girls! I'm super picky on which females I'll listen to. Top two picks are PJ Harvey & Mahalia Jackson... quite a bit of difference, so I couldn't begin to explain what it is I like that's up the middle.

I've been 'pausing' & I don't mean taking an intentional break. I'm talking about the other 'pausing' ... menopause & it's causing me a lot of anxiety. Anywayyyy... I'm trying to push through & I'd love if you all would give me your opinion on a few pics I took. If you think they suck, just say so, sugar coating is unnecessary. Not much I can do about my body (well, I could if I weren't so lazy) so I'm not interested in what you feel are the negative aspects of it, but I *am* interested if you feel that a pic would have looked better if I had posed differently.

Other than my foot being blurred, I liked the first pic better than the second. Does the blur ruin the pic? I've gotten to where it really doesn't bother me as much anymore.

in the first one you should show a shoulder..drop the shirt down. it needed, imo, something for me to center and focus on...right now all i want to know from looking at that is why ur foot is so blurry.....but think of it like advertisements and how they always put more emphasis on cleavage then the product...its what draws ur eyes into the shot.

the second one was good. nice hips. although you should have been reading a porno mag

You should never tone it down, my dear. In my opinion. Great musical tastes, by the way. Love me some Rob Zombie. I love everything from classic rock (Stones, The Doors, Led Zep), to 80's stuff (Duran Duran to hair metal bands), and the 90's stuff like Nirvana, Pearl Jam, STP, etc.

The Assassination Of Jesse James is an absolutely wonderful soundtrack, have you heard The Dirty Three or Grinderman?
I love an eclectic mix of tastes and especially love some Nine Inch Nails....will get to work on that tape and shall avoid the girls

I have to tone it down online, *most times* I'd rather skip something than offend someone. In person I can gauge how far to take things by someone's facial expressions & body language.
Hair bands? EWWW! I think that was probably the worst time for rock, IMO. I was ecstatic when ZRock started getting air time in my area & I could listen to some real music.
