Do you have yours up yet? Real or artificial? Blinkie lights or no? Multicolored or all one color lights?

Post a picture and tell us about your tree! :)

Here's ours... a 7' artificial tree... (I love real ones, but we couldn't afford it this year.) This is the first time since the kids were babies that we've not done a table-top tree and I'm so excited to have a full-size tree in the livingroom! Lots of multicolored lights, no blinkers though (drives me batty) and an eclectic assortment of ornaments with an angel on top!

What a pretty tree! Alas, we use to have room for a tree, but don't have so much now. And I think I'm ready to go "artificial" with lights--because everytime we did have a real tree (1) it was a pain to put up the lights, (2) the cat would eat the needles and drink from the water and then throw up (repeat as necessary).

We do have some lovely ornaments. We also have a plastic, golden, three-headed "Ghidorah" monster (not as cool as this one, but this one is close):

Which is our tree topper :D

No tree. Not enough money.

I'll simply enjoy my sister's when I go there for Christmas dinner.

We don't set up our Christmas Tree until two or three days before Christmas.

We aren't doing a real Christmas this year. No tree, no gifts, just a day off from work.

Next thing, you'll be wanting more coal for your fire.

"Sir, would it be possible to finish a little earlier tonight? My wife and children were hoping the dinner could be..."

"Cratchet, get back to your work!"

Cute tree Selena :)

My husband and I will be in India from the 22nd of December till January 5th so we're not going to bother with a tree this year.

Actually, my boss is the opposite of Scrooge. He'll probbaly be asking me how my holiday was and I'll tell him the same thing I told you, and then he'll start telling me that I need to get a girlfriend, and so on and blah blah blah...

This is just me family being burned out on a few issues and not wanting a big deal out of anything.

No tree; no decorations; not yet...

It's my wife's birthday on the 15th.

We don't start anything Christmassy until we've celebrated her birthday. She missed out on so many birthdays and birthday presents as a child 'because we'll give you a bigger Christmas present'. She wanted a birthday like every other child.

Now she has a birthday celebration - her day.

Awwww.... that's so perfectly sweet! :rose:

Our Christmas Tree is in the garden in front of the house. We planted it out first year we moved there, it's now about 30' tall and costs a fortune to string with lights :D

I'm going to experiment with candles this year and see if I can burn it down, I think the roots are getting into the drain.

We are near a kiddies school, they love it all lit up and we do too, so I guess I'll have to stump up some more money for lights this year, and buy a longer ladder. Going home tomorrow, hurrah!

I'm moving in a couple of days, so no, we don't have a tree up yet. It will be a small, artificial one, since the boyfriend has a bit of an allergie problem (it would work out if we were in a big house with plenty of space between the living room and the bedroom - but in a small apartment, he wouldn't be able to sleep with a real tree right next door.

And hopefully, at some point during moving, I'll be able to find my ornaments. :D

I get my present under a 'bush'.

We have a good Catholic nativity setting on a table, that's where the prezzies go.

If we had a tree indoors, the cat would likely destroy it in his never ending quest for birdies (or frogs - they seem to be his favourite play thing at the moment)

Our cats sleep under the tree... and I find ornaments under it every morning... they haven't broken one yet *knocking on wood*...

but they're better than the horse of a dog we've got, whose tail threatens to knock everything flying!

The kids, however, have been great... they both have ornaments of Santa that "talk"... Santa asks "What do you want for Christmas little one?" and afterward we get to record what they want, after which Santa says, "Ho Ho Ho, I'll see what I can do about that!" They each carry theirs around, pressing the button all day long... I think those ornaments have spent more time off the tree than on this year so far! :)

That we have the potential to drive me insane :D Fortunately, our little one is too old for that kind of thing. She'll be coming over for Christmas, with the fiancee. Christmas Eve night is the big Portuguese dinner celebration - Bacalhao (salt cod) and lots of vegetables, sprinkled over with finely chopped raw garlic. Then we'll go down to the Cathedral for the Midnight Carol Service, (the garlic ensures we get plenty of space) :D Then Christmas Day pretty much like everyone else.

ah but it won't be long before grandbabies will have all those insanity provoking toys... and you'll be buying them! :D

sounds like a lovely Christmas eve... (but I do have to admit, I can't stand the taste of fish... I keep trying, but no go so far...) We go to a candlelight service at our church that takes my breath away... and of course leave cookies and milk for Santa and carrots for the reindeer before the kids go to bed...
