So the daughters aren't patriots? Of course, it's sexist. It should say children, kids, sons and daughters. OH wait no it should say descendants or daughters and sons.

Of your PC choices, only "kids" fits the meter of the music, and there are many who would wonder why only "young Canadian goats" were patriots.

On a serious note, this is a prime example of special interests groups taking their particualr brand of fanaticism to extremes. "Oh Canada" is a beautiful and stirring song that is one of the top ten national anthems in the world -- as far as esthetics are concerned. Tampering with the lyrics would be an atrocity agsinst good taste!

First off, all anthem's pretty much suck.

Having moved here to the states from Canada, I had to learn the "Star Spangled Banner". Ick! No beat and you can't dance to it.

I think the only way to improve them both is to sacrifice Celine Dion to the anthem gods. Maybe they'll take pity on us for having to listen to her mutilate them both. ~smirks~

Thats ok they may as well do away with that line now that they are talking about doing away with the border too, so that the border will be the same as between states or provinces.
