Nobody talks about it much since the Cold War ended. But the danger remains. The U.S., Russia and China still maintain Cold-War-level nuclear arsenals, updated as technology improves. Geopolitics being what it is, it is impossible to rule out a future serious conflict between these powers. It seems to me the best time for nuclear disarmament is one like the present, when nobody is thinking in terms of actually using the weapons.

Nothing will come of that -- Russia does not dare take direct action against any NATO member.
