Prepare yourselves for the shrill whining of every anti-disarmament pathos out there. (More than normal)
There will be incredible claims, accusations, and a whole lot of hate.
You might want to go to the fluffier threads for a few day.

The latest;

U.S. Central Command confirmed to Fox News that coalition troops are currently in the center of Baghdad, meeting little resistance as they charged into the capital city.

In another dramatic turn for the 3rd Infantry, the outfit captured the headquarters of the Republican Guard's Medina Division. The Army's 3rd Infantry Division had met Iraqi resistance in a predominantly industrial part of the city early Saturday, Fox News has learned.

"As of this morning, coalition forces are actually in the city of Baghdad," said Navy Capt. Frank Thorp. "As we moved into the city, we saw sporatic fighting, we've actually moved through the republican guard divisions to pretty much the center of the city."

When Thorpe was asked if the U.S. Army's V Corps and the 1st Marine Expeditionary Force were on a probing mission, Thorp said, "That's not the intent to come back out. They're in Baghdad."

About 35 miles to the southeast, in the town of Suwayrah, Army soldiers rolled into the headquarters of the Republican Guard's Medina division and easily captured the entire base Saturday. It appeared the guard's defenses had collapsed; hundreds of bunkers and foxholes and dozens of artillery pieces were abandoned nearby.

When asked about the number of troops advancing, Thorp simply stated that "We have substantial forces now moving into the city."

With U.S. commandos already inside the Iraqi capital, columns of Army and Marine armored vehicles advanced from the south. They met occasionally stiff resistance, fighting Iraqi tanks as well as army, Republican Guard and Fedayeen forces.

"They're pretty much cut off in all directions," Air Force Cpt. Dani Burrows said Saturday morning. "Pretty much what you've got here is a chokehold around Baghdad."

**You should now proceed to the nearest benign thread. :D

Not sure LC. The BBCs man in Baghdad has reported traffic flowing normally in the centre of the city and no sign of troops.

You mean Spec Ops troops right? Because all the live shots I've seen show a pretty normal day in central Baghdad...

let's see ..since the U.s. THINKS its the big bad police of da world..next stop China ,maybe..or perhaps Korea..North that is..mwahahhahah stupid bastards:D

Oooh, it must be true!

Fox news says it's true. I BELIEVE! I BELIEVE!

This is hysterical...

I see real time footage of landmarks going by a tank, and a city overlay that shows the main avenue that ends a Sodamn Insane's city palace. It doesn't matter WHO shows me, I know what I see.
A camera showing a turnabout does not reflect what the true center of the city is. Is Buckingham Palace in the absolute center of Londinium?
You all have to drop your bias to have an open mind, I wouldn't post it if I didn't see it.
BTW- It's 12:30 p.m. in Baghdad, most reports in the media are two hours behind.

P_P_Man's thread: https://forum.literotica.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=163153

:D

Another story..

"A tank commander was reportedly shot and killed and two other soldiers wounded when they came under intense fire in the centre of Baghdad.

As the column drove through the suburbs from Highway 8 they were greeted warmly by many civilians, who cheered and waved as they passed by."

And Highway 8 leads to where? :D

I want to believe that we are in the center of Baghdad but I haven't seen any photos or real time/delayed imagery confirming what is being reported. I don't doubt that they are in Baghdad but I do doubt that they have stormed all the way into the center.

To be precise

The current wording from CENTCOM is "The Heart of Bagdhad."

They are aso saying that it won't be very long before US Forces are seen on those stationary views.

IMHO, probably NOT on the one of the traffic circle in front of the Mosque. They've shown a tendency to avoid the area around mosques as much as possible.

Yeah, I just heard the rewording recently myself.

Before I see them on the stationary views I want to see them bust in the next time the Info Minister goes on air and says there aren't any US troops in Baghdad.

You can believe we are there.

Unless you're in the bunker too, pushing your pretend armies around on the board planning the counter-attack that will sweep the allies back to Normandy and in one fell swoop leave you king of the world...

LOL - Like when they denied that we held Baghdad International Airport.

Betca, just betcha, the new Iraqi Government names it Dubya International!

:D :D :D

Puerto Rico?

Actually, they are going to be one very rich country, and prosperous!

Unless GM get's that hydrogen cell car to market soon...

See the piece on 60 Minutes II? SciAm also covered it. We are about to nueter the oil producing countries of the owrld, as I've predicted many, many times these last couple of years. That will end the power that these former desert brigands wield.
