Moments ago I read a scholarly article about how young guys confuse the meanings of female speech and body language. Seventy percent of the gals say young guys are clueless.

Not true.

What there is, is a lack of female self-awareness for what her body is up to. That is, somewhere along the line she is very aware of her sexual needs and appetite, but until that threshold is crossed she's the one who's outta the loop. And guy radar is working fine.

And guys have the same lack of self awareness, up to boner time.

Found more info about female sexual signaling (body language). Females do it instinctively, to sample their space for available men, even juvenile females signal.

The authors caution that signals aren't necessarily invitations, and often are sexual reconnaissance. And if an attractive male responds quickly to the signal the female often sends a signal with more bang, so guys shouldn't jump the gun with the first signal. Do the mating dance, from A to Z., tit for tat. Signals also clue the female as to who's available and receptive. Gays ignore the signals. Guys in love ignore the signals. Boys ignore the signals.

I have two grandsons out in the world. One is in the Air Force, the other does construction work but will prolly enlist. Grandson #3 is a scholar and baseball pitcher the scouts are watching; he plays AAU ball (Saturdays game was 9-1 with him pitching). He's 16 and 6-3, the girls blow him off tho his personal friends are guys like Derek Jeter. He wants to be a Yankee pitcher. The scouts say he has good control of his fastball. What I read puts it a little different: The signaling is mostly instinctive and begins early, its what females do, (like menstruation) and isn't necessarily targeting any specific male. Females wanna know who's available and interested, and if the male respondent is attractive they may take the signaling to General Quarters, man your battle stations, damn the torpedoes! Guys who don't respond to the signals are too old, too young, happily committed, or gay. Its like fish sonar.
