November.

November will happen and doesn't require me spinning wheels about the unknowable in election returns. What I do know is that the Republicans are being so anti-American wellness now that they all should be defeated in November if voters vote their actual self-interest rather than any rotten prejudices that Trumperism has pulled out of their depths.

Not sure, although it's safe to say the Democrats are longshots to keep control of the House.

I have my second primary of the year coming up today, courtesy of Ohio Republicans' inability to obey the law. Yay.

No sun—no moon!
No morn—no noon—
No dawn—no dusk—no proper time of day—
No sky—no earthly view—
No distance looking blue—
No road—no street—no "t'other side the way"—
No end to any Row—
No indications where the Crescents go—
No top to any steeple—
No recognitions of familiar people—
No courtesies for showing 'em—
No knowing 'em!—
No travelling at all—no locomotion,
No inkling of the way—no notion—
"No go"—by land or ocean—
No mail—no post—
No news from any foreign coast—
No Park—no Ring—no afternoon gentility—
No company—no nobility—
No warmth, no cheerfulness, no healthful ease,
No comfortable feel in any member—
No shade, no shine, no butterflies, no bees,
No fruits, no flowers, no leaves, no birds,—
November!

there will be seats lost, seats gained, on either side... there's the possibility of dems picking up additional Senate seats

how it'll all balance out, i just don't know. i know how things should go, given the disasters of some trump-endorsed candidates/scotus repeals/initiation of abortion bans/passage of major bills that benefit the American public and the current work on getting more passed/the removal of the al-qaeda leader... but the cancerous effect of trump on the open face of republicanism is hard to eradicate

if pubs take the House and dems the Senate, then any bad pub bills may get blocked at senate level and no good dem bills get past the House to the Senate... so 2 years of virtual stalemate, again.

Not a big turkey fan. Prefer ham.
But its just me and the boy so probably frozen pizza.
I went to the Macy's parade a couple years ago and had pizza for Thanksgiving. Pretty good. Cant remember the place tho. I mean I had Ray's one day cuz you kinda have to but t-day was some hole in little Italy. Good stuff tho.
Felt just like a pilgrim.

Will the number of recently expired GQPpers make a difference?

Michael Moore predicts a blue tsunami. I'd love for him to be correct but time will tell the tale, will write whether or not Moore has the right of it or if he's simply indulging in wishful thinking.

There was, however, one lone voice of dissent: Michael Moore. In July 2016, Moore wrote "Five Reasons Trump Will Be President." That article mostly went unnoticed by mainstream media after the election, when everyone finally realized Moore was right but it was way too late to make a difference.

Fast forward to the 2022 midterms and we find ourselves in a similar scenario, but turned upside down. Now the media is basically repeating again and again that Democrats will lose in November, while Moore is suggesting the opposite. Moore isn't just echoing the widespread notion that Democrats could hold the Senate while losing the House.
He is suggesting that voters "are going to descend upon the polls en masse — a literal overwhelming, unprecedented tsunami of voters — and nonviolently, legally, and without mercy remove every last stinking traitor to our Democracy."

Lots of new blue voters, thanks to Dobbs. Lots of shitty red Senate candidates thanks to Trumpies. I think it will be a blue gain in the Senate and swap to red in the house pretty significantly.

Thankfully, the Democrats have gotten quite a lot of legislation passed already, so not getting any new stuff passed for two years won't be as big of a drag.
